No Yasir. Doesn't matter if you buy the electronic item online or In store, you HAVE to pay the sales tax.

No exceptions and i guess that's one of the reasons that they have an excellent revenue generation system.

guys let me make this clear for u on taxes ! SOME STATES in the us are tax free while some u have to pay tax whether its ONLINE or instore retail doesnt matter... for eg in newyork u have to pay tax on everything u buy but in ILLINOIS chicago etc u dont have to pay tax i had a friend in chicago and i shipped stuff from amazon to him and tax free and now hes in NEWYORK every damn thing i buy from amazon they automatically put taxes ON IT arghgh

To all experts out there

Spare me my ignorance about PS vita, but please confirm that if get a Wi-fi console from the US it would be a region 1 console and I will be able to play games here without any issues unlike Xbox 360

[h=2]New Vita Games Will Be Announced March 9[/h]

In what could be interpreted as a response to Nintendo Direct, Sony has announced a "Welcome! PlayStation Vita Game Heaven" web broadcast for March 9.

In the broadcast, Sony will detail as-yet-unannounced Vita titles, Vita services, upcoming releases and information about games that have already hit the market (DLC announcements?).

The stream will also include presentations from game designers, producers and creators and as an incentive to watch the promotion, Sony will be giving away twenty 3G-enabled Vitas to viewers.
If this is something you might be interested in, be here March 9 at 6:00 am EST (assuming I've correctly made the calculation from 20:00 JST).

Interesting for those opting for a smaller sized card, stay away

So does the Vita cards' premium price-point buy you a good performance level? Seemingly not, but we have to make do with the hand we've been dealt, and it seems to be the case that the higher capacity the card, the better the performance level. Try as we might, we can't see more empty space buying better read/write times and again it would go against the ethos of the proprietary system guaranteeing a certain performance level.

In the four days it was available last week, Sony sold a little over 60,000 units of their shiny new Vita to United Kingdom consumers.
At least that's the contention from Nick Parker, a gaming analyst, who cited "a reliable source" in his reporting and whose information disputes that from Chart-Track, a European sales aggregator.

Whichever number is closer to the truth, one thing remains clear: The Vita seems to have fallen well short of the performance of the PSP in its UK launch. The PSP moved 185,000 machines in its launch window, a total that remains a UK record.

How these numbers compare to those of the North American Vita launch we're not sure yet, but here's some context on how these numbers stack up against the Vita's Japanese performance.

I don't think so that we will be getting a revision of vita this year. This year will be for the new gen consoles. Maybe next year, a revised vita will be announced.
