ok well the guy confirmed that 4k models are now avaliable . 40 inch 4k @ 31k negotiable and 52 inch 3d smart wifi 4k @ 65k

now this has to be seen i told him to share some pics specially of the files being played --best thing about this is that the file information can not be changed if its a 4k clip it will show 3840 by 2160 res .

regardless i think i will visit today in evening if weather permits to see for my self .

though i personally em for the 40 inch model for my gaming , but have to see if it supports 60hz or not --

the only way to check that out is connect to a gaming laptop and check via nvidia control panel .

i doubt he will give me the display to check at home and bring back .

anyone one seen the 4k tv ---

Not bad pricing, take pics and LMK how it goes. I'm looking into importing a TV via freight this year along with other home appliances from States or Dubai as well, would like to know more about these new replica ones you've been talking good stuff about.

yes i will do that i have some mp4 which i downlaoded from torrents and its 4k .

they play via vlc but i will copy them to usb and see if they play via the media coz there no pc is invloved .

I have to claim warranty on that TV and Home Theater System I bought from Umar Electronics, I'd like to see how they claim warranty terms and after shopping experience with their customers. Will let you know how it goes so your decision gets even easier, lol.

As for checking for 60hz, I thought you had a laptop that you were gonna take there with yourself? I can't think of any other way really ... unless there are Android apps that you can connect to your TV with via HDMI to USB or something cable to get the results.

its no point to take any laptop coz no laptop which i know off supports 60hrtz @ at 4k via there hdmi , it should he hdmi 2.0 compliant , the only other way is to physically take the entire rig which is a no soloution .

a laptop gpu with a dedicated gpu might show that it supports @4k but it will be at default 30hz .

for 60hrtz u need a supported gpu and hdmi 2.0 cable and current hdmi cables in market are all Gen - 1 which wont show the 60hrtz even if the led us supporting it .

this is a cause of concern -

As for the laptop, I thought you had 4K compliant laptop that's why you were suggesting taking your laptop with you. Anyways, the only other way I see is taking your rig there but you say that's not an option so .. we got ourselves a little pickle here, eh.

I was referring to this post of yours actually regarding the laptop, I said I figured that you might own or have access to such laptop that you can test it with. And as for which laptop can do that, any laptop with DisplayPort on it with any modern GPU will be able to drive 4K monitors easily @ 60hz.

2nd option is to check via laptop which ha a nvidia gpu build in / via hdmi you connect the tv and go in to res and see if it supports 3840 2160 if it does then its 4k ,

Anyways, since it's totally out of the question .. try to give him like 5-10k rupees and ask him that if it works, you'll pay the rest and keep the TV and if it doesn't you'll return the TV and take the payment. And if he's still reluctant, maybe offer that he or anyone of his worker can come at your place with you for an hour or so while testing, shouldn't even take that long but .. you can say that to him and if it works you pay right on the spot while they also install it for you or something. (Call them their installation guys or something, ya know?)

yeah the last option is doable / but they keep money sir/ last time i did that he charged me 2k , depends if he will do it again but 2k is a lot for just checking
