understood, but what do you mean by GIMPED? its rated 8.8 for gaming at Rtings.com .

have you owned one? pros and cons please?
It is gimped in the sense that the review you're reading for the KU7000 on Rtings.com is the North American model which has WCG, Bluetooth support, voice control, etc.

The KU7000 series available in Pak & middle east are downgraded versions (they're basically the American KU6000 series).

pros and cons of this tv?

i will be using it with Ps4 with ocassional youtubing, hows the user interface of this tv? does smarthub app of youtube work in 4K ???
everything works great . for tht price point one should not complain.

it supports 4k and the software is great.

i would want better viewing angles but all VA panels are same so it doesnt matter.

hashsohail, If you have a limited budget like i had when i went for KU7000 then i would most definitely suggest you to go for it. At roughly 50k, a 4k tv with entry level HDR is too good to let go. I remember taking my console to the shop to compare the 2 models i shortlisted, one was Samsung KU7000 in 40 Inches and the other was EcoStar's latest 4K model that has the steel rim. I was actually amazed at the clarity of KU7000 and once I saw the result there was no going back.

What are your recommendations for someone looking for a full HDR 4k tv in 50 or 55 inch size avalaible in Pakistan? I need something for x box one x which I am planning to purchase.

today i visited friends corporation in saddar rwp mall road...they are offerig ku7000 55inch for 1lac4thousand on 20 or 30% discount but that offer is just for today and tomorrow after that it it would be selling for its original price which is minimum 1lac20k.....i visited metro too as last time i was unable to mirror my laptop and cell phone today i got the device mirrored but its mirroring is pathetic with laptop theres soo much lag while ku7000 mirroring was awsome.....now i am really very confused should i buy ku7000 or should i go with tcl c2....i want to ask from android official that are they going to provide any support for tcl c2 or not.....i,ll get c2 for 1lac2k with smart remote on preorder sale till 20th jun while ku7000 is for 1lac4k just for today and tomorrow.....

i can buy tcl c2 and later add mircrsoft wireless display adapter v2 for mirroring but i dont know about c2 upscaling how well it upscales cable connection and how well it can handle motion judder.motion judder in ku7000 is very clear and movies experience is not good on ku7000.....really very confused

yes it does have Dobly Vision but how much HDR media do we have in DV?
How much media do we have even in normal HDR? How many people here even own a blu-ray player that does 4K HDR? How many people here will purchase original blu-rays and how many people here have the bandwidth to stream whatever little HDR content Netflix has? How many people here even have Netflix?

exactly my point ... lets say 10% media is available on HDR10 ... n Dolbyvision HDR is around 0.1% ... so Dolbyvision should not be a feature worth cosidering when buying an HDR TV. I would get a good highend 2016 HDR TV which might not have DV over a mediocre 2017 entry level which touts DV branding like its something "cool"

but having a future proof feature in a tv can't hurt
Future proofing is buying good HDR TV today which has almost perfect HDR capability than buying something which has a feature which might not be adopted for next 2-3 yrs. C2 is in now way future proof HDR TV, i would rather save few more n get Samsung KS8000 or KS9000 over this 2017 entry level product. If you want futureproofing, invest in a TV which has best HDR capability than something which has 60% HDR capability with Dolby Vision which might become mainstream 4-5 yrs from now, enjoy better HDR for these 5 yrs n after 5 yrs get a new TV.

I agree but models you mentioned are not available locally and if they are somewhere they are more than twice the price than c2

future proofing is very subjective
which is better feature to have?
96% DCI P3 color gamut n 600-800 nits brightness without Dolbyvision
or 76% DCI P3 color gamut and 300-500nits brightness with Dolbyvision

c2 does take a long time to swith between channels too like its all other models so one cannot watch cable channel on them properly because its very irritating to wait for 4 to 5 seconds for channel to change....i asked from tcl that why didnt they improve it when they already have so many complaints about this particular issue they told me that cable source is getting obsolete so they are not focusing it any more as a source of video input....

I'm planning to buy a led tv 42-49inch, am planning to buy Tcl C2 model 4k. True not going to use much of it features except 4k USB , hdmi and online movies along with online streaming.
and will use it as regular cables Tv as well until we have to go digital.
reading few topics here, seems Tcl C2 isn't what it seems.

Am I correct to understand this.

second, can we have sticky post for each different brand of Tv, so easy to search related to that brand and tv.
and have a compare on 4k and smart tv ...

didnt really get you?are you going to use it for cable?if yes then dont buy it i dropped the idea of buying it and have bought ku7000 today for 1lac15k with official samsung warranty i dropped idea of buying c2 because it takes minimum of 4 to 5 seconds to switch from one channel to another which is pretty annoying....other thn that dont expect good mirroring from c2 too but 1 thing i can guarantee you is that c2 has purest blacks i have found in any tv in that price range whites are little less bright thn ku7000 and u can get tcl c2 55inches for 1lac2k with 2 year warranty if u order till 20th june along with smart remote which costs 4k separately.i think c2 is good for 4k and movies stuff cannot say the same about internet usage and as i said u can never enjoy cable as it takes alot of time to switch inbetween channels.othr thn this c2 is a very decent option

I don't plan to buy that much expensive Tv. And I don't have space left on my wall for anything above 50inch.
keeping this mind, I have kept my budget for Tv around 50-80k.
that is sad, about the cable Tv as the spare Tv I'm using at the moment also delay around 3-4 sec between each channel.
and you right, for me mirroring from my android and iOS phone and iPad is very important as well along with online stream movies in 720-4k ( using storm fibers 20mbps will connect it through Lan cable to get Constant speed unlike I get on my iPad ) YouTube ( for family) and other related contents.
As this will be used for family .....(I might get few hours only ).
would love to go for Samsung but its quite expensive, price per screen.

If if you have any other recommendation do let me know,

thanks,
and any idea if anyone bought this so we can ask him to test other stuff.

i wish that if someone would have c2 i could have done proper detailed test on it as you know that sellers here in pak dont give a damn about customers infact they are very rude as if we are going to buy from them without paying the money....only metro had good representative theri for help and even there not all people were helpful only one man i found was very very helpful and cooperative his name was Faisal..talking about metro islamabad.....i think you can get 50inch variant in 80k or very little above it with official samsung warranty i purchased 55inch variant yesterday ku7000 for 115k with official warranty....dont expect good mirroring with c2 as i thoroughly checked its mirroring and it was pathetic and i was fully prepared to order microsoft wireless display adapter v2 along with tcl c2 because inbuilt c2 chromecast for me was useless.....i think you wont get 4k streaming online even with 20mbps i might be wrong....if you are already used to of delayed channel changing thn go with c2 but keep that in mind you can never ever get good or even anywhere near good screen mirroring with c2...c1 uses peer to peer connection but i think it lacks something else because video was pixelating badly on it too during screen mirroring...you,ll need to be connected to a wifi network in c2 in order to mirror because theres no peer to peer connection in c2.....other thn that c2 and c1 both of them were unable to play many common video formats which i had in my harddisk but samsung played every single video file i had in my harddisk....samsung upscaling is awsome dont know about tcl c2 but ususally there are complaints about tcl that it isnt good with upscaling......i wanted to ask from android if they officially support tcl android os so that c2 would also get all the os updates like sony or not but i wasnt able to contact with them on their website their is nothing related to tcl at all....again blacks on c2 beats samsung ku7000 badly.....tcl c2 does support bluetooth audio which ku7000 doesnt tcl c2 remote connects through bluetooth with tv after pairing but ku7000 doesnt as it doesnt have any bluetooth....i dont have any gaming console otherwise i would have check that too but people here who own ku7000 passed good remarks for ku7000 regarding gaming....if you still need to know something about ku7000 you are more thn welcome to ask.

Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
