^ Technically you're never supposed to see them anyway, the fact that they even rendered NPC's for the boats wayy off in the inaccessible areas is overkill


Also, MAN some of the snapshots people are posting are AMAZING.

the level of detail in each suit is immaculate.

showed mr lin as the baddie in the skyscraper demo they showed and now ingame there was no mr lin but i knew from the start i saw this LIN guy as a baddie in the demo than how come he is good than afterwards duringht miles morales and dad getting killed they showed him again and that was their kinda big mystery screwed even before the game came out lol

Hell of a game. Not as big as Horizon as far as open world games go but easily the best Spider Man game I've played. The final stretch has some of the best production values I've seen. This is probably better than the last couple of Spider Man movies in terms of the story it tells.

The main story line in this game is fan-fucking-tastic. The world is soooo soo good to look at and the core mechanics of this game are spot on. But what i cant believe is how mediocre the side quests in this game are. There are a couple of side quests here and there that might be decent like the Tombstone one but other than that the secondary quests are a bore fest. I honestly think it would have helped if they didnt had these distracting secondary quests at all and let the players focus on the main story line instead.

haha yeah i did the tombstone one that was nice... so now i guess other are quite tedious and boring haha its like doing those spiderman on the pstwo sidemissions stuff haha that just popped up.. the whole crime gangs popping up are annoying aswell

Just obtained Platinum today. Completed the storyline yesterday. Had a straight 7hrs+ run at it today for the platinum.

My thoughts:
The gameplay is incredible. The traversal and swinging is really amazing. The last Spider-Man game I played was on the PS1, after that never touched another one.

Combat is a bit simple with no major variations to use except yanking punching throwing etc and repeat.

Story was great, good thing it was not an origin story and had stuff already settled in although I will take Gwen Stacy anytime over the cringe worthy MJ.

Graphics really shine over here, Manhattan looked pretty amazing, played it on a base PS4 and wasn't much impressed but playing on Pro really brought out the potential of the visuals and draw distance.

The content was of good amount, side quests and that and as others have mentioned, Tombstone sidequest was the only good one, others...not so much. Resesrch stations were a damn chore and random crimes, tried and tired over time (Especially when you are gunning for the plat).

One of the really good things about swinging was that if there were no buildings around you or smaller buildings, you couldn't just swing blindly, need to have some support for the webslingers for swinging. It was executed well.

All in all, 8/10 from me. Story and swinging, 2 main things were great.

FINALLYYYYYY. The street crime trophy was a bloody chore fest. Anything even mildly close to this trophy should be considered blasphemy.

ended the game last night.

well the game had alot of "INSPIRATIONS" from other games you can say i could see god of war new one a bit, mostly it was the batman arkham games they incorporated here even the dev said it so himself they took inspiration from the rocksteady batman games. i could see the prototype game that kinda thing the street crimes and all popping up randomly at places. the mini sidemissions were Ok. the story was the main thing to be followed here and it was quite good but at the end felt quite short.. i beat the game under 10 hours on amazing difficulty which was normal mode. i had almost 53 backacks by this time upgraded all my skills and even did few sidemissions and took all landmark photos and all so the ones saying its 20 hours and so on probably mean 100percent completion not the story mode that just hardly takes 6 hours to do so i guess if someone just follows story mode.

the boss fights were a bit disappointing but i guess even god of war boss fights this time around felt a bit disappointing too. spideys were quite literally very easy even on amazing difficulty though but were highly entertaining and fun. the two on one boss fights like rhino and scorpion and vulture and shocker were pretty fun though childsplay i'd say even the final boss fight was just dodge attack dodge attack that kinda thing easy peezy no challenge.

apart from that the game mechanics as compared to any other spiderman game were spectacular the best spidey game to date, i would say YES. i have played some on the ps3 like edge of time and shattered dimensions their story was great too but they flickered with the game combat and other mechanics at time but this one was flawless in that department, thanks to rocksteady i guess

all in all there was nothing new that i found in this game except that it was a spiderman game done best to date, comparing to other games as i mentioned above would probably not compare it well but as a spidey game its awesome

the ending of the game felt like a marvel movie with those mid credit and post credit scenes haha which also builds up a strong sequel none the less..

Rating: 9/10 as a spidey game, 7/10 if compared to others.

so whats up with that final boss fight ? it was so reminiscence to the doc ock fight in the movie spiderman 2 with tobey even the cuts and spiderman mask tear too much identical.... did anybody notice ?
