My vote is for Spiderman. Didn't enjoy RotTR much, and the sequel looks to be more of the same.

Yeah, I'm gonna lean towards that too. Especially because exclusives draw more traction.
Currently on a much-needed vacation so can't pick anything up until next week but my pecking order of how I'm gonna play the recently released titles are: Yakuza Kiwami 2 -> Spiderman ----> Dragon Quest XI ------------> Shadow of TR.
[MENTION=218]CerebralTiger[/MENTION] if im not mistaken that part where you dodge correctly and get a small evasive time whole time stop thingie is a perk you buy with skill in the skills tab not immediately available from the get go.. also this just was done in god of war too with a trinket you put in the axe and it lets u do that.

Multiplats are superior on the V queen's preferred platform? Maybe that's why her fav multiplat game lacks game-changing HDR support on PC :tv:
Yup, that's correct. You get the amulet a little later in GoW, but you can unlock the skill pretty early in Spiderman.

ok, couldn't resist and picked this up. Played a good 3, 4 hours after work. Holy shit the presentation is top notch. I can't believe we're in year 5 of the PS4 already and developers are still finding ways to crank out games like this on arguably aged hardware. Moment to moment it might not be as clean or sharp as God of War, but the rendition of NY (or any 'realistic' open world city) is the best in any game ever. Including Watch Dogs 2, which is a great contender.
Looks like Insomniac also took some tips or direct technical assistance from Naughty Dogs as the facial animation and 'acting' is by far and wide better than any previous Insomniac game to date.
The combat for the game takes a little while to get used to, especially when you start doing the harder Fisk challenges .. a lot of frantic swapping between buttons. Much more so than your typical Arkham game would require around the 2nd or 3rd hour mark.
There are times when the city swinging can pass off as one of the Raimi Spider Man movies, or even the Andrew Garfield one's, it looks so good.
The only negative I would say is that this game seems to have a lot of the busy-work and tons of icons on the map to explore like the last few AC games got criticized for.

i like how there is nothing on the HUD while swinging except the map... all the combat etc stuff goes away while swinging.
Would have liked it more if they did the God of War and Horizon thing and added custom HUD options (bring them up with a touch of the touch-bar, otherwise nothing on screen at all).
yes i was thinking the same, with Completely no hud would be epic. i think they should do it with updates
