Okay first of all do NOT go to Scentsation Dolmen Mall or any other up market shop, not if you can get the same stuff for cheaper rates elsewhere in the market (Naheed, Imtiaz esp. Nazimabad branch, Bolton market.)

Wat are you looking for exactly? Something expensive and unique or affordable and wats your range?

Re: Curve: got this from Naheeds its a nice enough tink for its price (Rs. 2900). Paradoxically I do NOT adore its scent as its rather dense for my tastes, and it smells like 'Elfy' on my body after three-four hours.... BUT as mentioned elsewhere here, it does get a lotta compliments from the fairer sex so... :wink2:

Looking for something unique basically. Ok so I live in Clifton, it'd be a pain finding the right shop in Bolton, so where else should I look if not Park Towers/Dolmen Mall/Dolmen City? Would Agha's work? I have never been to Imtiaz or Naheed so no idea where they are

Yes Aghas is good never got any perfume etc from there personally but Im sure you can find a good deal there.

And 'something unique' can be a 2300Rs. CK One or a Domenico Caraceni for 30k. Feel free to explore the market if you wanna settle on something amazing thats what I did (and gathered abt 4 different scents in the process ).

They let you test a fragrance if either you seem like a genuine buyer or have bought something from them. I usually spend 1 whole hour once I've bought something esp from that Naheed's guy, testing out various scents

Once you get a taste of a particular brand thn its smooth sailing from there...

Currently on my To Buy List:

1) 212 for Men (~5500)
2) Lacoste Red Water (~3/4k)
3) AdGio (~6k)

Also check out Hyperstar I hear theres a great shop there as well. No idea abt its prices tho but its near you.

Why not scentsation in dolmen city?? Its huge! Plus there are more shops there if you are looking for something really unique.

Naah the one I tested at Naheed was the real deal Im sure of it... frankly it was more amazing than that citrusy and snobby smelling Issey Miyake I got and its in the same price range as well.

Confession: Got a 2no. Dunhill Desire for about Rs. 600 recently thought k even if it can give me a tiny bit taste of what the real deal is I can form an opinion about the real one... turns out its so bad been using it as air freshner in m home lol!

RULE: Remember if you can smell your cologne, the girl sitting opp to you is literally drowning in that scent. Our noses are different in unless we absolutely drench ourselves in it we dont feel satisfied.

Trust me dude this Eid it was Curve/Issey Miyake VS. Bakra and Cow meat smell, and the scents won! Maybe it was all the 'Eid Mubarak hugging' that got the job done but still :mushy:

Not blaming Naheed but i was amazed at 212 men for Rs. 2.5k LOL that's why pointed out.

I know 212 crosses 5k or sometimes 6k mark but tbh never liked it.

The eventual flops for me are Eternity, Paco Robanne XS and Fareheit by Dior. I own these and they are like good looking glass bottles for decoration now and it's been like 3years

^^ That's what I always wondered. I spray my AXE and Set Wet, but after 5 mins they disappear. While I stumbled upon a guy who sprayed the same DEO on him, and he was like scenting the whole room. I was like, HOW is this possible >.>

As a matter of fact a friend of mine has a flavour of 212 NYC or something and I really liked it, else its a bad idea to plunk 4-5k on a p.o.s. luxury item...

lemme clarify one thing: the moment you spray on yourself, to the moment you are at the 'Drop Zone', it matters a lot how you're geting there. If you're hanging outside a W22 going from Tariq Road to Board Office thn Im sure whoever meets you there is gonna smell 12 different types of sweat on ya

Like that guy mentioned above, it helps if you;ve arrived at your destination preferrably in an A/C car etc... 'relatively unharmed' is the word. ([MENTION=11105]SEvolution[/MENTION]): thats why I usually keep a CK One bottle in m dashboard and spray when Im going somewhere in a meeting etc coz I dont have AC in m car...

Of course it depends on what type of scent you are wearing and how your body reacts to it.

Awhile back I gave this Karen Lowe perfume to a friend and I knew frm past exp. that it smells really damningly good, but on her it was just disgusting! thats 4.8k down the drain

I guess you are under 23yo? Is that so? You'll like 212-CH it's just you will start to develop taste after 25 or 27 for some bossy kinda colognes. Top of it being oriental Boss, Kouros, Organza, Mont Blanc Legend and stuff like that. Young men do have a thing for spicy-fruity kinda scent and it's always like that.

I used to like Lacoste Red. It used to be my #1 and now i don't even touch that bottle and it's been like a year or so.

212 is a hit among young men and i do always tell you guys to test while recommending 4-5 colognes at a time. AdG being an exception!
