Finished Watch Dogs. I guess a ton of people here have already ended it so no need to get into it's details. However I enjoyed playing it thoroughly, the story was superb. The only thing that bothered me was Graphics. Almost all the UBISOFT games I have played (AC, Far Cry, Watch Dogs) have pretty terrible graphics. Like things are sharpened up more than needed...

Overall a solid 9/10.

Developers make every game according to the console specs. It's not that it was made for PC and we're playing it on console through emulators. I have played injustice in xbox and graphics have blown my mind. And so did FORZA and WWE. The games I mentioned are overall a fail in gfx department. Ubisoft in short.

Ended Watch Dogs

Game was good not top notch good driving and shooting mechanics was what i hated the most.Borrow these things from gta v u idiots @ubisoft.

After ending it i got the feeling that Watch dogs 2 will be better just like Assassin creed 2 was.

I was disappointed with Watch Dogs.
I don't get why Ubisoft thinks it's acceptable to say AC 2 was better than AC 1 so we'll do better with Watch Dogs 2(they actually said this) . This is 2014 and they've been in the games business for a long time. Get it right the first time or stfu.

Ended the original "Deus Ex" last night. Easily amongst the top five RPG games I've ever played. Ancient PC and backwards-compatibility *cough* is a match made in heaven. I'm a bit late to the party but glad I ended this absolute classic.

Coming to the game, the environments were expansive, open, involved a lot of running around and backtracking. This was in contrast to Human Revolution which proved to be fairly linear in comparison. Voice-overs were monotonous and emotionless. But I didn't mind it too much as it suits the entire grim cyberpunk-themed setting of the game. HR was no different in this regard either.

Mission structures were very well done. Lots of alternative routes to complete objectives. Many games have a broken system but Deus Ex was flexible enough to cater to both playing styles. I liked how you could go full stealth, all guns blazing or settle with a mixture of the two.

Exploration rewarded bonus points which were redeemable in the form of skill upgrades. It was virtually impossible to fully upgrade all skills early in the game so my protagonist never felt over-powered at any point. My main gripe was with the augmentations. Apart from a few augs, I never really found any utility for the others and I tried a variety of playing styles.

The story was excellent! It was rich but not too convoluted or branched-out as is the norm in RPGs these days. The plot was focused and almost all side missions had relevance to the main storyline. And the story characters were largely interesting, in a peculiar sort of way.

Some observations about its prequel, Human Revolution. I like how it stuck to its roots and also fixed many of the original's shortcomings. Hacking, for instance, was a much improved feature and augs were better utilized.

In terms of similarities, playing style was appointed at the very start. You get to choose between a knife (if you like hand-to-hand combat) or a crossbow (if long-range is your preferred method). Some unforeseen choices determine the fate of your friends and allies. Boss fights were, again, laughably easy. And not to forget, multiple endings right at the final juncture.

I loved this game. Had the option to apply mods to improve the textures and lighting but I chose to play it in its original glory. Even after more than a decade, this game not only holds but has also aged very well.

Finally got some time to go through my back log of games, finished Arkham Origins, it was nice though AC was a much more memorable experience. All in all will give Arkham Origins a 7/10. Now have to choose between MGR Revengeance & WatchDogs though I think I will start with WatchDogs.

Finished Forza Horizon 2 last week. Here are the few things I would mention :

- Graphics have improved.
- I didn't like the new Race Division system. The old one was better where only one specific class of cars were allowed to take part in that race.
- You could buy Car, and change it buy just clicking pause menu. That was unrealistic, again, didn't like this change.
- Game was very short.
- No more street racing hubs where you would have earned big money.
- You could not sell those cars which you've won in prizes.

Overall an 8/10.

Just ended "Tomb Raider" and I leave very very impressed with this well-crafted game.

Exploration was very rewarding. Plenty of crates and artifacts to collect that increase your XP and allow you to improve your abilities and upgrade weapons. Raiding tombs was a lot of fun but the puzzles could've been made lengthier and more tougher. This was one place where Assassin's Creed excels, in my opinion.

The game was a looker alright. The island of Yamatai was beautiful and boasted of every sort of terrain starting from jungles to icy mountains, shanty towns, caves and sandy coasts. Crystal Dynamics nailed it as far as the graphics aspect is concerned. The visuals were breathtakingly beautiful particularly when viewed from a vantage point.

The story was great and the voice-overs top notch. Diaries scattered through the game provided a much needed insight into the characters and background plot. I especially liked how there was full audio narration for the diaries and notes.

The gameplay was seamless and very well done. Lara crouches behind a cover automatically and allows the player to engage in combat from behind it. Bows felt satisfying and the weapons, although scarce, could be upgraded to improve efficiency and add new features. The mission structures were largely linear and many gameplay segments involved QTEs but I didn't mind it much. Gamepay was focused and did everything right.

Lara's transformation from a survivor to hunter was amazing! Early in the game you could actually hear her pleading to the enemies to stop fighting. She's almost unrecognisable by the time you finish this game. And it's all perfectly believable after the ordeal Lara goes through.

Campaign was the perfect length. I clocked in around 24 hours with 75% completion. And I'm sure 100% completion can be achieved in 30 hours at most.

Finally, I appreciate the fact that Lara Croft's character wasn't sexualized. Japs should take note when making games involving female protagonists and characters :lara:

if we are moving towards more and more popular trash across platforms that make billions for companies, I'm happy with all the barriers and exclusivity because at least that brings some pressure to create good stuff.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
