"Asif has withdrawn his appeal which was filed against his suspension by the ICC"

Apparently, it means he has confessed of wrongdoing. But his lawyer says she needs more time to prepare his case :S
So gather around and get ready for more drama and masala news

Asif is an experienced guy when it comes to situations like these. I bet he's the only dude on Earth who escaped beheading after carrying drugs in an Arab state 8) He knows how to wriggle out of difficult spots.

So basically he just wants to get rid of the case once and for all. The full hearing will be heard before the NZ series. His lawyer now has enough time for preparation and actually that's what their main objective was.

Yup Asif is smart rather than I'll say his Lawyer is quite efficient :p I think he planning some safe route to get out of this sport fixing thing

Mean time:

India win series after abandonment

A wet outfield forced the abandonment of the third and final ODI between India and Australia in Margao

India are in phenomenal form. Aussies are going back home without winning a single thing on this tour (courtesy of two washed out matches though)
India's achievements going into the 2011 WC are analogous to ours just before the 99 WC. Add to that home advantage and you have a winner

true man the real thing is some stupidity in merit we are picking those youngsters who have been good in first class for only one or two season
we need to select those players whose average even it is 35 should be consistent throughout 2-3 seasons

not those who have scored 1000 run in quaid -e -azam trophy and picking them early to ruin their carriers .

agree wid coby... we should take these youngsters.. send them to NCA train them for a while.... groom them as to how to carry themselves.. and than include them in the team if they are good enough...

I agree with cobby's assessment. I never really understood the logic behind selecting 18 year olds because rarely do you find one that is good (Aamer).
But I doubt anyone can improve their game only by playing first class because our standard is plain crap. But experience always shows and for this sole reason I'm in favour of playing domestic cricket.

@nigahiga Yup you're right. Technically the young players are bad in almost every department. They don't know how to field, they're wayward in bowling and also unable to bat in testing conditions. The NCA is pretty good as a grooming platform for younger players in the age bracket of 16-20. Older players just can't be taught much from the academy because they're well past their learning age

Waqar at his peak was a miles better bowler than Wasim. It's longevity that has favoured Wasim Akram all this time and will continue to do so.
So the All-Time XI has 2 English, 3 West Indian, 4 Australian and a solitary player each from Pakistan and India. No player from SL, NZ or SAF :D

The list is fair and shows the dominance of the countries to which these players belong. No player deserved less or more
But then, these lists prove nothing substantial at all. :p They are compiled for the sake of showing that 'we' (The judges) aren't just sitting idle doing nothing.
