you're right but the level of emotions that clannad conveys at that hajime no ippo can't even get close.

as far as the manly anime issue goes. clannad is not more manly than hajime no ippo but clannad is the type of anime that takes your manly-ness and crushes it and waters your eyes

Hajime no Ippo has never made me feel sad but I have laughed my ass off watching it, get inspired and also get so furiously mad that I wanted to punch right through the TV.

Clannad has a sad story, so ofcourse it'll make you cry. Hajime no Ippo has a thrilling action, fight till you reach the top type of story. It shows people going through physical and mental hell, just to get in the ring and get the crap beat out of them and hopefully throw a few punches in as well.

They're both different so enough with the comparisons, the first comparisons weren't supposed to be taken seriously. >_>

exactly. hajime no ippo is awesome but overall i just rate clannad more that's all i was trying to say. not that i'd take anything away from hajime no ippo

it's just that i have a thng for mid fecking animes. soo that's why clannad gungrave deathnote are higher than hajime no ippo for me. but still hajime no ippo is one of the best for me

Finished watching Another. It was great. Felt good to watch something good after a long time. The ending could've been improved though.

hmmmm, haven't watched it quite a while now... need to start watching but maybe after exams ... plus need recommendation for good action but i think i have covered most of them ..

Finished watching:

Air
Well it was a good anime. But was short and rushed. Because of its shortness, the characters weren't explored that much.
Soundtrack was good.
7/10

Kanon
Well I liked this a lot more in comparison to Air. The characters were overall better, and the character development was much better. The anime just kept getting better and better, at first it looked like it will be a normal drama anime with comedy and romance thrown together with nothing special happening but later on it gets really good and emotional and explores almost each of the main characters deeply. Loved that about Kanon.

Angel Beats.
Well this anime was great. Was amazed to see how they managed to make it soooooooooo funny and at the same time very emotional and occasionally really depressing.
Loved the characters, the story, the animations, the sountrack.
My only complaint is that it was way too short for its type and felt really rushed. If only it was at least 24-26 episodes long.

Man, the episodes where they try to ruin Angel's test scores and where they try to rescue Angel from her clones(the underground one by one sacrifice part) was just extra super funny, couldn't stop laughing

^Well according to me Angel Beats was perfect. Any longer or shorter would have been bad. Its amazing how they made it from something normal to epic. The soundtrack was good too.
