Nexus S to Galaxy Nexus? (Nexus 4 confusion included)

I am currently on Nexus S and planning to jump to Galaxy Nexus. Have around 28k after selling my Nexus S.
What I have in concern is both Nexus' have quite same physique and software is even identical. Will upgrade keep my interest alive for sometime or it will be a matter of few hours?

Need some words of you guys.

Will definitely keep your interest alive after the upgrade. The 720p LED screen and the 1.2GHz Dual-Core CPU and 16 (and 32 I think) GB of internal memory. The only drawback is that the shooter on the back is only 5MP BUT it does record 1080p video. Besides that there are many other things that will keep your interest alive. Good luck.

Yaar G.Nexus is one awesome device
I sold it recently and now regretting my decission

4.65" 720p display
only drawbacks i felt
low sound from speaker
battery used to barely last a day with normal use
with heavy it would drop dead even in less than 12 hours

Other than that i was pretty much satisfied with its 5mp camera
it will be a nice upgrade over nexus s

and software are same but then u have rooting and then u have a whole new world of ROMS and customization (1)

and if Nexus S ain't sold yet do SMS me

Depends on why you're selling your nexus s. If its because you're bored of the general ui or the os then upgrading to the g nexus wouldn't make any difference.

It will be a massive upgrade in terms of speed with dual core CPU and 1GB ram. The software might look the same on the 2 phones but you will instantly experience how much faster galaxy nexus is.
You will also get a much bigger screen and much better video recording.
Galaxy nexus also looks better than nexus S. Galaxy nexus will continue to get latest android versions for at least another year but the future is uncertain for nexus S.

The 2 areas of concern are that you will lose the portability of the nexus S and sound quality will be a downgrade from both speakers and earphones.

So its up to you to decide.

Go for it. You will not regret the upgrade. Everything is just right. Even the 5mp camera is great!

Only drawback i see is the loudspeaker volume. Earpiece volume is good too.

Forget about the galaxy nexus now keep your nexus S and buy the nexus 4 when it launches in 2 weeks. At most you might have to wait a month for prices to settle down but dont be hasty you already have a great phone and save up a bit more for the new nexus. Its going to cost 35k when price settles.

40k is more like it as the international rate would be 350$ for the 16gb

Hmm... Will a 8 GB version will be available for 26k in slightly used in 3 months?
I remember when Nexus 7 was launched it was anticipated that the tablet should be available at 20k new. But this went never right till now.
Obviously more waiting will devalue my nexus s as well.

Nexus 4 Released Dragged Me Into Confusion

I made this thread a week before.

I was planning to change my Nexus S and move on to the Galaxy Nexus but mean while Nexus 4 announced with attractive price tag.
I am thinking to wait for Nexus 4 to make place in shelves so that I can buy a used one.

Should I buy GNexus, keep it for 6 months and sale it to get Nexus 4.

or

Wait for Nexus 4?

P.S. Nexus 7 is supposed to be sold at 20k but it is never true and Nexus 4's price is quoted by Google is $299.

Nexus phones are such terrible sellers that despite their specs, in about 3-4 months after its release, the price of Nexus 4 would be nearly HALF of what it was initially. I'd say get Galaxy Nexus, it's priced very cheap at the moment and then after 6-8 months get Nexus 4 when it's cheap as well. No point wasting 50-60k on a Nexus phone.

My suggestion is to wait for LG Nexus to arrive here and then jump directly on nexus 4. Prices are excellent this time by LG and Google.
