network cable uplugged error on ptcl?

Today, I have got my ptcl 4mb broadband connection and I am quite satisfy with the speed as I am almost getting above 350kb/s speed but what really annoying is this error message that pops up quite a few times in task bar, " NETWORK CABLE UPLUGGED" and then it goes away. I dont know why am I getting this error balloon. Anyone any idea?

Help would be much appreciated.

I was facing the same problem. I think its because of either problem in router or long distance LAN wire between router and PC.

i think its voltage problem. happend 2 me once.fixed the voltage now working fine.but thats not the case of ptcl router. i had this problem with my hub. the pc's connected directly to the ptcl router worked fine but the ones connected to the hub didnt worked.

this problem occurs due to 3 main issues.

1 - your router aint getting enough power ( may be due to low voltage or light flactuations )
2 - your router <-> PC wire is local cat5 which is old and almost rotten.
3 - your system is not establishing TCP link with router correctly, you can put IP's manually to resolve that issue.

rest if it wont help ya after trying all three ways' try to change ur router adapter, sometimes adapter have issues in converting voltages ( and this is the most common issue of all ).

PROBLEM IS SOLVED!!!!

What I actually did was changed my ptcl modem with 2700HG-B Gateway 2wire DSL modem and no more unplugged error pop up messages now. I think the problem lies within PTCL modem. You gotta accept that PTCL modem sucks hard. So, my recommendation to those who have this same issue, to replace your PTCL modem with any other DSL modem.

Nah! Mate, wateen isn't as promising as it was before. I had been using wateen for last 3 years but now recently get rid of it. The reason I unsubscribed is I wasn't able to stream online videos for like 2 months and When I ask them to fix this problem they always had this answer,"Sir, We have no issue on our side, it must be your machine or another problem on your side". So I did what I actually was suppose to do.

PTCL, SO FAR SO GOOD !
