hey peeps,
i got a ptcl internet connection a few months ago and it wont let me to connect to any css servers... i have to wait for hours refreshing the server list and id be lucky if it lets me connect even then

so has this happened to any1 else? any1 know any solutions to this? and no, nothing wrong with my game, it used to connect fine when i had wateen... i have original copy of css and not banned from steam

i posted a thread before too but no1 replied so

here you can find a list of cs servers in pk
so connect to pakistani servers bcz you will not able to connect dedicated servers bcz you have non steam version of game

dude no offence but are you dumb? if u read my post ud know that i said i've got the ORIGINAL version of css... which means i have a valid steam id...

and reinstalling the game doesnt work either, i've tried it b4

Which CS:S servers are you trying to connect to?
If you are trying to run Wateen servers, then it wont work as they require a fee (Dunno for sure).
But if you are trying to run it on some other server, then I am not sure whats the problem. But its probably that the ping must be too high for the server to respond properly on the PTCL connection.

I've got a 2mb ptcl connection and it's not only wateen servers that don't work. I can never connect to any linkdotnet or mbl servers either.. I once installed Day of defeat source as well and it had the same problem...

well css requires a patch. have u installed the patch?

this problem may occur due to this.

dude, i have the original copy.. i dont need patches... it worked fine without patches on wateen too...

well it works on watten but not on ptcl. just try the patch may be it fixes the problem.
