I thought dust filters stopped some dust from getting in? Do you have any experience with them?
I had a CM Scout with Dust Filters. They always got Jam Packed with Dust hindering the Air Flow. Removing them actually made a positive effect.

AND AFQ. I see what you did there. :p

u can overcloack it to upto 4 ghz with a nice cooler ........... and a 6950 is the best in the 22 thousand range .... the motherboard provides every new feature
Whats the point in getting a slow cpu and then take it to 4GHz over an already fast cpu?

i5 2500 is listed for 17900 in czone?? wouldnt that be better

whats the difference between i5 2500 and i5 2500k?
i5 2500 is slightly better than i5 2400.

i5 2500k is the overclockable version of the i5 2500. Since you dont even know whats the difference so i dont think you should even bother thinking about it. Just get the i3 2100 or i5 2400 and call it a day.

Thanks :) If i buy i3 2100 now, can i upgrade to an ivy bridge later when they come out? Will they support the same mobo? H67 something

Also, can anyone tell me if 6950 is a better choice than the 560 ti?

Yeah, your board will support IVY bridge.

6950 is on par with 560Ti most of the times. Personally, i would go with nVidia because of PhysX and Cuda technologies.

560 (Non-Ti) is a trimmed down version of 560Ti. Basically its a GTX 460 with higher clocks. And you cant OC NON-K CPU's let alone Ocing them on H67 boards.

Edit:

Made a post asking if I could over clock with H67 mobos, but HMS1193 already made a post that answers that, so never mind.

But can I use turbo boost with an H67 mobo on the i5-2400?

Also, does anyone know what the i5-2400 and i3-2100 processors cost in the market nowadays?

I'm so appreciative of you guys, you've all helped me alot. :) There's a high chance that i'll buy the rig this saturday, so cheers. :D

first of all checkout this guide

don't worry normal oc'ing is safe for your pc

you can purchase motherboard from astrontech lahore (astrontech.com.pk)
other stuff from iamextreme.net & galaxy.pk

not really but you know this is electronics & nobody can give you warranty so its better to take care of stuff and always purcahse products in warranty + if possible use UPS

if you want to play games on full hd you need a better budget for graphics card like i will try to fit a good gpu in your setup. with this gpu you can easily play upto 720p and even on higher resolution.

as both are available in almost same price its better to get LED because there are some advantages of LED like less power consumption & its new technology.

no need to purchase a sound card if you don't have a powerful sound system and specially in this budget its useless to purcahse a sound card

now i suggest you to go for this setup :

processor---core i5-2300------------------16800----galaxy.pk
ram----------2gb KVR 1333mhz------------2000-----galaxy.pk
mobo--------H67MA-E45(B3)--------------9900-----astron.com.pk
casing-------Antec 600---------------------5800-----iamextreme.net
psu----------ANTEC EA500----------------3800-----galaxy.pk
gpu----------Sparkle GTX460--------------16500---iamextreme.net
hard---------seagate 500gb 7200.12----3800----galaxy.pk
optical------liteon 24x dvd RW------------2200----galaxy.pk
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
total-----------------------------------------60800----------------

this pc is overclockalbe but if you want extreme overclocking you have to expand your budget for this then you can purchase core i5-2500k & msi p67-gd65 both are avaialbe in about 20+20k= 40k so you have to expand your budget to about 80k
with gtx460 you will be able play games games on 1080p & but you have to get 2 gb more ram but right now this setup is enough for you.
yaar how can u overcloak on an h67 motherboard

You can't overclock on an H67 mobo as far as I know.. You can only overclock the built in gpu of the motherboard (in H67s) i think.. If you wanna overclock, you'll need to get a P67 mobo, but the only ones i found available were above 15k in price.. :S

But the i5 processors have turbo boost that you can use with H67s aswell I think... But turbo boost only overclocks the cpu by a few 100 MHz.

Thanks for the replies :) Sorry for bumping this, but i've got a couple more questions.

1. How much is a core i5 2500k nowadays?

2. Will the Antec EA500 or Xigmatek NRP-PC 502 power supplies be able to support an over-clocked i5 2500k with a GTX 560 Ti or HD6950 card?

4. Can I over-clock an i5 2500k with the MSI P67A-C43 (B3) motherboard and a normal kingston 4gb RAM?

3. I'm gonna buy the rig in the next couple days.. BUT I'll be going to a university next year, and i might go abroad so do u guys think i shud spend 71k~ on it? Will the rig still be good when i come back (after like 5 years from now lol)? And would the rig have any resale value at all after a year or so (if i decide to sell it)?

The final setup:

Processor: Core i3 2100 or Core i5 2500k
Mobo: MSI P67A-C43 (B3)
GPU: GTX 560Ti or HD6950
RAM: 4gb Kingston or 4gb G.Skill if it's available
HDD: 500 GB Seagate 7200.12
Casing: CM 690 II Plus with i3/A cheaper one for i5 (around 3500 rupees)
Drive: Any 24x DvdRW?

Total: 67k-69k for Core i3 & 72-74k with Core i5.

Again, I'm sorry for all the questions that I've asked, but 71k is a lot of money to spend and took me a good few months to save out of my pocket money :p So I don't wanna spend it not knowing what a better buy would be.
