[NBA] New Gaming Rig

Hi,
I'm gonna buy a new gaming PC very soon (next week or so) but i know nothing about building a PC so i need help deciding what i should get..

Details:
Budget's gonna be about 80k, but i'm also gonna buy a new monitor in the same budget (preferably one that's 1080p HD) so the budget for the PC would be about 60k.

I will overclock only if it doesn't damage the PC.
I can not order online cos i dont have a credit card or paypal to my name..
I am gonna be buying everything that's needed for a new PC, from a DVD drive to a casing for it (but no mouse, keyboard or speakers).

A few questions that I have are..
There's a lot of unexpected load shedding going on nowadays. Would this be harmful for the PC?
Would 60k rupees be enough to buy a PC good enough to run games in 1080p maxed out?
Would it be better to buy an LED over an LCD?
Does a sound card affect gaming at all? Is it worth buying one?

not really but you know this is electronics & nobody can give you warranty so its better to take care of stuff and always purcahse products in warranty + if possible use UPS

if you want to play games on full hd you need a better budget for graphics card like i will try to fit a good gpu in your setup. with this gpu you can easily play upto 720p and even on higher resolution.

Would it be better to buy an LED over an LCD?

as both are available in almost same price its better to get LED because there are some advantages of LED like less power consumption & its new technology.

Does a sound card affect gaming at all? Is it worth buying one?

no need to purchase a sound card if you don't have a powerful sound system and specially in this budget its useless to purcahse a sound card

this pc is overclockalbe but if you want extreme overclocking you have to expand your budget for this then you can purchase core i5-2500k & msi p67-gd65 both are avaialbe in about 20+20k= 40k so you have to expand your budget to about 80k
with gtx460 you will be able play games games on 1080p & but you have to get 2 gb more ram but right now this setup is enough for you.

Thanks alot for replying How much would I need to increase my budget by for full HD? I'm probably not gonna change my system for the next few years so I just wanna buy the best i can.. And can you also please tell me which monitor I should buy? Thanks again

Oh, and I don't really care about over clocking so I probably won't overclock unless the speed gain is significant.

The rig sunny suggested is almost perfect but as you'll be gaming on 1080p, i would recommend you some changes.

Change processor to Core i3 2100 = 11.2k
Same board and ram = 11.9k
Get a bit cheaper case, Xigmatek Asgard II for 3.5k
For PSU, get some a little more solid, Antec BP500U(5k) or Xigmatek NRP-PC 502(5.2k)
same HDD and optical drive as suggested by sunny, both will cost 5k.

Now you are left with around 23k to spend on GPU, add one more thousand to it and get SPARKLE GTX560 for 24k. XFX 6870 falls in the same price range but GTX560 is a better choice.

Thanks alot for the replies everyone! Will 560 gtx be enough to run games on 1080p maxed? And won't i3 2100 be very slow for 1080p? And can you please tell me which monitor I should buy.. I can spend up to 22-23k on monitor.

One more thing, I might decide to upgrade my rig in a few months so I could buy either a better processor or a new GPU. So right now should I go with AFQ's suggestion or sunny's suggestion?

And thanks faheem, but I don't like the look of the asus monitor that u suggested so i'd appreciate it if u cud suggest a better one

yea gtx 560 is good for 1080 gaming you will get some more juice in gaming with gtx 560, you shd go with afq suggestion and upgrade ur processoer later core i3 can handle games!!!!!

What's the difference between a 4gb ram and a 2gb one? I can buy 4gb if it's significantly better.
Also, would be nice if someone told me which monitor would be the best buy in 23k rupees..

i would say go with AFQ suggestion because core i3 2100 beats previous gen i5....gtx 560 is more than enough for 1080p gaming
i suggested u asus because its the cheapest ..if u have 22-23k budget go for samsung BX2250

Ok thx for the reply All that's left now is the monitor.. I checked the BX2250 out but it's got a hideous stand so i don't want that sorry :/ I liked the look of the BX2231 and BX2331, are they any good?

Also, how much better would it be to buy a 4gb RAM over a 2gb one? Do i need to get 4gb or is 2gb enough?

EVGA GTX560 is also available for 28k. Since both SPARKLE and EVGA are non-reference cards so it doesn't really makes a difference and IAMEXTREME would offer better after sales service so SPARKLE is the better choice i think.

msi is the best among all 560s its cost is 25.5k at astrontech. u can check reviews. linus tech tips on youtube also told that msi gtx560 is fastest among all 560.
