mid/low level gaming pc suggestions required

I am planning to prepare a mid level gaming pc for my younger brother. maximum budget is 15K He will play game on 1024x768 resolution and mid settings. targeted games are
call of duty mwf/mwf2
assasins creed 1/2
fifa 2010
crysis
company of heroes.
and some other games like these.

would these specs work for me
DELL gx280 tower machine with following specs
3.2 HT Processor
1 GB ram
80 GB HDD
8600 GTS or 7900 (which ever i found cheap in market place)

^ yes with these specs he will play games at low to medium settings but you have to add 1gb more ram in order to play crysis fifa and coh
i suggest you don't get this system instead of this get used items from market place
get a used dual core processor with a normal mobo and a 4670 gpu
but if you don't want to buy from market place then this system will push his gaming needs but 2gb ram is recommended

mmm actually my brother have a normal p4 2.6 with nvidia 5200, 512mb ram and 40GB my friend is offering me a deal to exchange it with DELL 280 Machine (specs in first post) without any cash. So after that i just have to buy a GPU. may be then I can buy a used 8800 or some equivalent what do you say? a e5200 dual core with 8600 or a P4 3.2 HT with 8800.

The PC UOsama suggested is much better than Dell GX280.....

Ofcourse the 8600GT aint equal to a 8800GT but the other specs are alot better....

if you able to get used pc then nothing is better then that
and don't get 8800gt bcz your budget don't allow you as you also need psu for this gpu

Even if he goes for it, It will be of no use as he already said he'll be playing at 1024x768....

yar there are a lot of dual core (desktop not tower) machines now available in the market for around 10 thousand rs. Specs usually are 1.8 -2 ghz dual core with 80 gb hd, dvd rom and one gb ram. Buy one which has a pci express slot. Then just put a used 4670 (512 ddr 3 card) for 5000 rs in it. That will be a total of 15000 rs and u have a mid level gaming machine.

this will be a 100 times better then buying a p4.
