I received a rejection letter. no idea about SSE, i applied SHSSL.
and i never said they take in students solely on the basis of their previous academics. what i meant was, if you did not do well in LCAT, not good enough to get an acceptance right away then they do consider your application but if there's a student who had a score somewhat similar to yours then the student with better grades in O/A levels will be preferred.
And yes, if you aced LCAT, then no body's stopping you from getting in.

Fir3d3mon my test didn't go very well too. i did not know what i was doing in English. and i did the same thing, marked answer to those questions i had no clue of and didn't even think for a second about negative marking, regretted it alot. but Maths went extremely good, except for a few questions, i was dead sure i got the rest right and maybe that took them so long to reject my application. So i believe, if i had scored 6 or more As in Olevels and did better in AS, i would've got an acceptance letter.
