Lets start working on some basics.
  • What is the game going to be about? Story line!
  • Concept drawings of maps characters static meshes so forth.
  • What engine are we going to use - How many here are good or experienced with those engines?
  • Who is good and Modeling and has experience in creating MODS. show the work.
  • Then time lines.
Lets start with firs things first. We need the team. Then assign the team roles.

Sounds good talhadar. However i am hoping that we can come up with some interesting reasons behind why are we going around shooting random objects up in a city. Does it even have to be a city. Can it be a fantasy country scape, mountainous ranges? Or the Swat Valley where you can kill as many Militia men as possible. Can it be inspirational? Lets throw some more ideas in.

(y)Strongly and highly recommend this suggestion. MODs are the best way to get a feel for what is expected in terms of skill set and workload. We can form a MOD for a variety of games engines. I know personally that BF2 is one of the very active communities with a decent amount of support. UT of course has been the mainstay and carried the lions share of MOD developments if i'm not mistaken. So we can choose to go for either one.
I think we could start with Battle Field 2 editor and maybe focus on a Pakistani and Indian team which would be pretty cool. I don't know if you guys are open to cross border gaming relationships but we could find some Indian guys interested in the project as well. We would need level designers, static asset designers, programmers, character artists and modelers and lots of Chai! or Red Bull!!

Can you come up with a story line. Put it in words. Set up a site with information about an upcoming MOD>? This is a lot of work in itself. But its a start. First things first. We need a story. Some concepts and then a team that is willing to start working.
