Hello super genius Pakistanis a.k.a Game Developers!
How many times have u wished that you were part of a team so that big ideas could be worked upon? Well, here's a suggestion. Lets form a team, we might be located at different geographical locations but we can keep in contact over phone and internet. We can stream line our learning efforts and (may be) even hold gatherings/meetings from time to time (I guess it's not a problem for most of the people out of school to travel across cities.)
What's more, we can even start working on small projects once we feel we are mature enough as a team. Isn't it good?
BUT! don't start fascinating too fast, such things are difficult to keep up, we have our schedules and we have our priorities, some may even have jobs, so the process may be slow. and may be (God forbid), it never achieves what its intended goal is). I am offering no dreams here (I can't, even if I want to).
So, those faint of heart, or who want to get famous overnight, I am sorry, this team may not be what you want. Lets face the irony of practical life.
Here's what I have in my mind:
- Form a team of people who share a passion for game dev (any level of learning is good)
- Learn from each other, form a community of game developers to keep up with industry
- Develop projects working in a team (following same kind of paradigms as OSS community follows)
A possible outcome (again, don't start fascinating, it is only a possibility) may be that we start doing projects that are mature enough and submit them to contests (e.g. GameDev's four elements). We might even find potential investors.
If you think you have a lot of patience and a lot of passion for such a thing, jump in. PM me with your contact info (and a short intro if you please). I'll send this info to every team member next weekend. (and onwards whenever new members join).
Please note that it would be a team of friends (no discrimination on age, gender or any thing else), there are no moderators for this team and for every decision "Majority is Authority".
Regards,
MI
PS: I am not collecting the contact info because I think I would be a mod, but because we need a convergance point to start with.
