Having that curved display on a single side only makes sense but the asymmetry ruins the looks IMO.

i don't have the money to upgrade yet... so sticking with note3 for sometime... note3 is still an awesome device so i don't think an upgrade is needed.... i wish it was slightly bigger as in 5.9 inches or 6 inches... i am sticking with note3, the longest i have stayed with a phone...

If anyone remembers this, this was a new 'concept' shown, i think 2 years ago (or maybe more) ... in the era when "curved displays" started to emerge. Samsung showed us 'endless possibilities' and in 2014, they have finally presented that 'possibility' into a reality. So yeah, it may take some time to accept this thing BUT ... i can sense very well that its gonna be a hit.

If notification light on your smart phone can matter, then imagine having a dedicated display on the side for just that. Very very appealing concept to me. And this might work specifically well, for those who use that 'book style' cover for their smartphones.

Lastly, LG said that "40% of the smartphones will cover the market till 2018" (something like that), while showing some of the concepts. Let me show you some of them:

So basically, this thing is just a start. If you don't like it, then you are just acting like "grapes are sour" ... kinda. Bottom line is you should give a damn about this because possibilities really are endless with it :bounce

The asymmetry makes it stand out, in my opinion. Among the plethora of rectangular and curvy smartphones, this really looks like a device from the future. Fairly innovative in its own way.

This wasn't a good time to buy a brand new device to begin with, BUT ... Galaxy S series is in a different league than Note series.

Plus, this is like a "new addition" to the note series, so NO ... S5 is not entirely old. But it will be, when next Galaxy S device will be released (That won't be happening before 6 months though)
