my friend;s pc is shutting down automaticlly anytime while working or staying in bios nd the numbers show on motherboard is 00
can you tell if the cpu is dying or what is the issue also any good repairing person that can help from karachi

asus maximus vii hero
8gb ddr3 hyper x
450W cm
cm hyeper tx3 evo
cm elite 369 casing

Code 00 usually indicates a faulty or dead hardware, it could CPU, RAM, or motherboard itself.
We can only suggest you few possibilities to resolve it. However, it won't guarantee the revival.

Ask him try the following steps:
-Remove ALL the wires and cable from motherboard
-Remove RAM
-Clear CMOS by taking out the battery (re-insert the battery after 1-2 minutes)

Turn on your system now by using On-Board Power button, if any.

Please mention his Current PC Specs ( all of them )

Did you try any of the above steps I mentioned?
My point was, with all unplugged components, only cpu and motherboard would be operating; help in identifying the root cause of this issue.

If you already done that, then try following one by one:

1. Reset Bios option, just press Reset; it is located beside Start Button on motherboard, and then turn ON the PC see if it works.
2. A directKey button somewhere at bottom of the board, press that and click the Start Button on MB, see what happens.

Also, I am tagging here @haroonshaikh and @GloriousChicken to grab some useful information on repairing shop in karachi.

hardware troubleshooting is the worst of all. It's not difficult, but just time consuming and irritating.
You need to try all your components with a different motherboard and processor to rule out which item is causing trouble.

Unless and until you can physically identify a burnt capacitor, it is impractical to get hardware repairing done as its just not worth it. But i would suggest you to first troubleshoot which component is causing problem.

I tried removing everyhting and then reset cmos . took my Psu to other pc it was working fine there rams also checked and fine . board and processor are left is there anyone who can help me testing motherboard and cpu as i dont have other cpu or a motherboaed to test my cpu

Usually there are three components falls that causes to generate 00 code. CPU, PSU and Motherboard. Now, when you've narrowed down the problem identification to 2 major components, you need to arrange any 4th generation either CPU or motherboard to confirm the your loss. More chances of being faulty unit on mobo.

I am sure your symptom is When you run the PC after a while it shuts down or restarts.
And then start giving you 00 code.

Theres a higher possibility on your CPU being perfectly fine.

exactly. it runs smooth for a while sometimes like 2 hours and sometimes a minute . then cpu shuts down,blank screen everything else seems normal , fan spins , led lit , and the q code show 00 .... should i go for maximus again or else or should i change the company .

Change it.

I had maximums for 3 times in a row and pretty much the same issue.

Now I just rock a crappy mobo because screw Overclocking for now. Lol

lol , can u suggest any motherboard chipset . should i go for z87 or z97 or just non overclocking boards .

Try adding new thermal paste..... Thermal paste can cause cpu to overheat for time.. Which results in shutting down

@OP If you are not looking to upgrade anytime soon then i'll advise you to get a good z97 motherboard since overclocking can improve your PC's performance specially when rendering 3D images/videos or videos in general, if however you are not looking to upgrade soon then just get a H/B series motherboard.

already did , and the processor's temperature were good all the time , it just shutsdown in a second.

i searched for z97 motherboards but i could not find any yet. my question is that can i get the same overclocking features on Z87 motherboards (these boards are available in the market but not z97) if so , will it give the same performance as z97(as i had asus maximus vii hero) did , or maybe i am jumbled to figure out that there is slight difference between z87/97 . consider me as a noob !. thanks.
