@hasanJ
But i mean he can play physx games on that with slow performance as compared with nvidia isn't it
Since AMD Cards dont support PhysX they will not experience slow performance
It will be disabled completely

and the only decent game of last year that actually uses Physx is Batman Arkham City

Get the 1080p screen man, you can easily run most of the games on high settings.
I have a GTX460 and a 1080p LCD I can easily play most of the games maxed out. BF3 runs smooth on high as well.
As far as i know a 5850 is a bit more powerful than a reference gtx460 so i think it'll do just fine at 1080p

Yar go for 1080p,its enough to play all the games on max setting with playable smooth frames.

PhysX is not an eye candy effect nor a graphical feature as you are wondering it could be disabled in PhysX required games when running on Radeon card, Simply a Radeon card would not allow "PhysX GPU acceleration" and manage to support PhysX graphics in software emulation mode which allows a game to run on ATI hardware but the game suffers from bad performance since its an graphical SDK which is developed by Nvidia that's why it must be installed before launching a game which is based on PhysX engine.Regarding your thoughts as you said it will be disabled when launching a PhysX game then you could run it without installing PhysX but actually you could not or get bothered by "Physx SDK not initialized" error when launching games like NFS SHIFT or MAFIA II:D

Say what? o_O

PhysX is EYE Candy and a Graphical Feature
And WHY would u Install the PhysX SDK -------------> Software DEVELOPMENT Kit

There is a Source SDK to "Develop" Games on the Source Engine
Similarly there is PhysX SDK used by Game Devs to "Develop" GPU based Physics for their Games

As for Performance

Turns out Mafia II is one of the few games where HD5850 performs FASTER than a GTX470 :dance:
In majority games it falls between GTX460 and GTX470

:lame
Here GTX 470 was unable to keep up with HD 5850 due to its slower anisotropic filtering power 33992 Mtexels/sec vs
52200 Mtexels/sec of the HD 5850 hence it offer 54% more performance over GTX 470 and the rest of the ATI gpus that have performed over Nvidia have no match with respect to performance.However the following gpus are comparable to each other

Are u Serious? 54%
ON average across Majority games HD5850 = GTX470 in performance
Where did u get this 54% Figure from?

And i just showed u a PhysX Game where AMD is Performing even though u claimed the following
which allows a game to run on ATI hardware but the game suffers from bad performance since its an graphical SDK which is developed by Nvidia that's why it must be installed before launching a game which is based on PhysX engine.
Where exactly do u see Mafia II suffering from Bad Performance on ATi GPUs?

Ur claiming one thing and Posting something else entirely -.-

This Chart shows
HD6950 and HD6970 being FASTER than GTX560Ti / GTX560Ti 448 Core / GTX570 <_<

HD6970 = 49FPS
GTX580 = 49FPS
GTX580 OC = 51FPS

This Chart AGAIN tells us that AMD Cards give Excellent Performance in PHYSX Games :lol:

Karach!
Playing on anything other than 1080p is unacceptable in my rulebook.

Dont kill me guys,its a rule only for me,just a rocknrolla.
