Salam,As of today during a gaming session my computer randomly turned off and then immediately turned on. I thought the power went out and immediately came back on so i decided to turn on my computer and play the game again. Once again within seconds my computer turned off prior to the game loading. I repeated the steps again and then thought maybe the cpu is overheating because i hadnt cleaned in ages. I took my computer out, cleaned it up, re applied the thermal paste and turned on my computer again. I had no video signal. I took out my case, checked my gpu and it was working, lights on, fan not working but that was normal since the asus 1070 doesnt turn on the fans till a gaming session. I then switched my hdmi while keeping my gpu intact to onboard and it showed me the display. I tried everything, disabled on board graphics, reset bios, changed the auto boot to only PCI, everything i knew i tried it but no luck.My specs; I7 3770,16gb ramAsus ROG STRIX 1070Gigabyte UDh3 something.625 watt corsair psu (3 yrs old)Funny thing, i pulled out the 8 pin connector and left the gpu connected and it still was doing the same thing. No beeps, nothing. The lights were on, no video signals. Is it possible that the 8 pin connector is broken or is it a faulty gpu? I never experienced artifacts or shut downs before with this gpu. I cant even detect my gpu even though its installed. It lets me use on board with the gpu still installed even. Please help, i dont want to send in for warranty since its an international one.

UrhumHere, I see 2 issues you're facing. One is related to Video Signals on Monitor and other one is GPU/PSU. Let's try to breakdown the issue. For No signal problem persistent, try unplugging your Cord cable from PSU, take out the Battery, so called CMOS (10 seconds) and re-insert. this is what I've done a couple of days ago to resolve "No signal" problem on monitor. As for the GPU, there is a possibility that the 8P PCIe is being faulty either from PSU or the GPU, less chances being on GPU. So you may verify it by using another PCIe 8P. While it behaving strangely, it can be said the GPU is faulty. You need to verify this by checking it on another system. Also, I might point the PSU being 3 years old could be the one at fault here because it turned off the PC as GPU loads. The possibility here could be the PSU not able to tolerate the stress anymore. So, two things you can do here, try different Power supply, and then try another system to identify the main culprit.

I tried your above suggestions yesterday, took my computer to a repair shop and tested out around 6 gpus and all of them didnt give the video signal. Even tried those cards which dont require any 8 pin or 6 pin connectors, the thing is that the motherboard isnt allowing any card to work because its always switched to the onboard card. At that point they didnt have any high wattage psu so couldnt check my card but after testing so many gpus it might be either psu not having enough juice to power the card and cpu because the cpu fans were struggling to run, they were like rotating and getting suck every few seconds. My friend thinks its the bios being screwed up even though i reset CMOS like 5 times. What do you think? PSU out of juice?

the issue now seems to be narrowed down to either psu or motherboard.for psu you will need to get it checked in some other pc and if its not the issue then the culprit is the motherboard. try updating your bios and see if it helps or no.

Karach!
Be careful, these crappy "VS" psu's are not made for gaming pc's.
