Hey guys you tell me whether the Radeon 5850 is better option as compared to the GTX 465
Please reply as soon as possible as Iam going to buy one of them today!!!

As per topic the GTX465 was a Failed GPU and within months replaced by GTX460
Its main problems were the power consumption and heat dissipation was on the levels of GTX480/GTX470 but the Performance in relation was SubPar

HD5850 was clearcut winner until the release of GTX460 which was slightly slower and slightly cheaper than HD5850
Currently i would recommend buying either GTX460 or HD5850 depending on which is cheaper

HD 5850 is slightly faster and consumes less power then GTX 465.

However, GTX 465 offers better DX11 capabilities and PhysX. In addition, compatibility with games has always been a plus point for Nvidia.

Both options have pros and cons. So decide according to your preference. Though I would recommend GTX 460 over both of these.

gtx 465 was only good cuz it could be unlocked to 470 but that is pretty rare...
gtx 470 IMO shouldn't cost more than 14-15k these days so pay accordingly

The Article is a bit high level stuff but if u skim through it u will get an idea as to why GTX460 matches GTX465 even with Less Cuda Cores

If you have the black PCB version of the card then there is a good chance of unlocking it into a GTX 470!!!.
