GTX 1080 G1 vs ZOTAC GTX 1070 Mini

Guys I am going to get a gpu soon after eid but i am on tight budget. Initial I was wondering to buy Zotac 1070 mini which coast around 55k but just saw Gtx 1080 @ CZone for 70k.

So my simple question is that did this Gtx 1080 really worth 15k more than Gtx 1070

I don't think it's worth the 15k price difference honestly. 1070 will do the same stuff as well. Should provide almost the same performance.

1060 = 1080p GPU
1070 = 1440p GPU
1080/1080ti = 4k GPU

Even if you are going 1440p go for gtx 1080
For 15k more it will run a year or half worth of games more on 1440p than a 1070

But if you are going 1080p don't bother with 1080 gtx go for 1070 instead and forget about changing ur gpu for a long long time

whoops pg messed up and posted an unedited version what i meant to say was to wait for volta. However, if you can't wait till 2018 Q2 (that's probably when Pakistanis will get volta) then go for pascal by all means, as i said in my previous post the deciding factor will be when you are looking to upgrade after you buy a gpu or let me rephrase it "how long do you use a gpu before upgrading" and if affordability is a concern.

well basically you are paying approximately ~12% more for 8% more performance which is not *that* bad and in future that 8% performance can make all the difference if an non-optimized game drops and runs at 50-ish fps on a 1070 but your 1080 will give you 60 fps that is where the 1080 is better in simpler words, it's a bit more future proof and you can always overclock later to get more performance out of it. Imho if affordability is not a concern then by all means go for 1080.
