I personally didn't want to see bran influencing the past. Though that reveal about hodor was awesomely bittersweet but seeing that bran can actually have an affect on people from the past is kind of a turn off. This means he can place pieces of the past in order to set up the future events. This is a time travel gimmick.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Bran warged into Willis while he was in the past. Right? So technically he can warg into people from the past using a weirwood tree?

No he did not warg into Wyllis. He warged in to present day Hodor while he was still observing the past. Read this to clear up any confusion:

So Bran wargs into Hodor — but crucially, he does it while he's still observing the past. Bran is watching the past and controlling Hodor's body in the present at the same time.

That appears to have created a psychic link between past Hodor and present Hodor. We see past Hodor's eyes go white, which is what happens when Bran seizes control. Past Hodor hears Meera Reed yelling, "Hold the door," through the link, which he starts repeating. He eventually shortens this to "Hodor," and that becomes the only thing he can say for the rest of his life after that event.
So by seizing control of Hodor's mind in the present, just before his death, Bran screwed up his mind decades in the past. Bran created Hodor as we've known him on the show. Bran is responsible for the destruction of Hodor's mind.

So basically part of what i said is true. He can influence people of the past provides that he is observing them using a weirwood tree and wargs into them(present day) at the same time

I am not sure. I have read some theories online that he indeed can influence the past events and may be he is the reason that Mad King existed in the first place. Also in one of the previous episode he did try to call out Ned Stark while observing the past and Ned did turn around but the three eyed Raven told him that it was not him that made Ned look back. So may be he can, we will know more in upcoming episodes.

A friend of mine was telling me about this theory as well. The Mad King might have gone mad because of Bran telling him about the future, the white walkers etc.

I have a feeling they will do things differently with time travel. Bran being behind all this is too predictable. But even if they show that he is the one behind these events, I am fine with it too (sm1)

That might be the reason the mad king started burning people alive....

If it's bran doing all this then it would be a great turn off

Yep, that could be the reason. And I agree, would be a turn off. I have hope that the show runners will do something good with this time travel stuff.

Can't wait for Monday, or hopefully the episode will get leaked on Sunday. :D

Bran: Oh so this is when the mad king burn them all

Does everything feel rushed or is it just me? The reveal of the white walkers origin was so anticlimatic. show feels like a naruto filler since it over took the source material.

The whole season has been more fast paced compared to the previous ones. I mean they are certainly closing in to the end, and hence have to pick up speed, and I'm fine with it to be honest, except for that white walkers origin reveal. Left a really bad taste in my mouth. That should have not been in that episode IMO.
