Fellow book fan! Yeah it was a great episode. I'm glad about the theories proving to be true. One thing I'm confused about though, didn't Jon Snow kill the White Walker that died (again) in this episode at the hands of Meera Reed? If so, how in the world was he back? Can they be reanimated after they die? I hope that was a look-alike.

Spoiler: show
That wolf's death though :(. Heartless show-runners.

Also, something to look forward to in the next episode titled: Blood of My Blood. Kit Harrington said in an interview that one of the episodes is about his character's story and it's the most epic of any episodes they've done so far. Blood of My Blood certainly seems aptly titled for it. R+L=J finally?
It was one of the Commanders. They all have long hair and look the same. While that fellow with no hair is the leader. (Or general)

I'll message you with a few theories and links since they're huge spoilers tbh. Don't want to ruin this for others.

Spoiler: show
Maaaaybe. All of this timeline stuff is very convoluted. Bran made him the way he is, but IMHO he'd die if he or anyone else ever tried to change it (if it's even possible to change it). Because his escape was made possible all because of that incident and Hodor's sacrifice.
Can you send me the links too

Okay , What the fuck now? Time travel and fucking 'Hold the Door'?.
Did not see it coming from a mile away.

Tormund giving Brienne the look is officially one of the top 5 moments on GoT, lol.

Remember when Jaime pushed Bran in the first episode and we all thought Jaime was a monster? Oh the good old days .

Also, does Kinvara not know what happened to the last Sorcerer who crossed Varys? Threatening Varys like that, she might end up in a casket.

Spoiler: show
yeah Benjen's gonna save Bran and Meera and take them to the wall.
What confuses me is Bran needs a Weirwood tree branch to hold to go back to past. How is he still in the past without holding it? Are we going to see TOJ again without him holding the tree? There is one Weirwood tree in Winterfell though. If that's how its supposed to happen that i'd say R+L=J will happen in the season finale atleast.(After the BastardBowl)

One thing I didn't get
Spoiler: show
When the white walker touches Brans arm and that old man tells him to run away since now they are coming, why the hell did that old man warged him into old time? Like if bran would've been conscious, none of that shit had happened in the first place

I don't know about you guys but there was ONE thing really REALLY bugged me in the last episode, and that was the rushed reveal of the origin of white walkers. Not only do I think it was too soon, it was also too hastily shown. Something as pivotal as this should have gotten a much better treatment. I hope there is more of their origin that we'll properly get later down the road, but for now, I'm disappointed.

The mystery of the white walkers was one of the reasons they seemed such a powerful and fearsome force, and I'm not saying I don't want them to reveal who they are. I just thought that with all the time they have kept them in mystery, they would have done a much better job of finally giving us the answers about their origin. With just one scene, they managed to ruin their immense feel for me, a bit.

I can say that's the worst reveal in the show till now. Provided that's the only content we'll get about their origin.

Yeah, the white walkers pulled a Skynet on the Children, lol. I guess now the Children are extinct, since Leaf was the last one I guess

I have seen people mutilated, murdered, castrated, raped, burned alive, head smashed, getting their skulls crushed with bare hands, and pregnant women being killed at their own weddings.

None of that hit me as hard as Hold The Door. I can't say I have ever cried before, watching a Game of Thrones episode. E wry thing from Ned Stark to Robb, to Oberyn to Jon and Princess Shireen, it had shock and awe. Except for when they burned Princess Shireen, I never cried at any of the deaths.

Willys made me cry hard. And I mean hard. The fact that he knew all his life about that particular moment is what makes it so much heartbreaking. He knew from the that small age that he was destined to hold the door. He spent his entire life knowing that he has to hold the door whenever the time comes no matter what it's for. That explains his incapacity to do anything and freaking out whenever there was lightning outside or something knocking at the door. In the final moments, he comes to this realisation and holds that door. Bran isn't warging into him anymore in the final moments. He is a free man and he finally knows this is the moment that was waiting for him all his life. When Meera takes off with Bran, Hodor takes over control of his body again. He can hear Meera shouting "Hold the Door" and he can now understand what happened to him. Imagine if in the last 20 seconds of his life, he finally understood what happened to him as a boy, 40 years ago, and that no matter what, he had to hold that door.

A couple of things you guys are wrong about

This is most certainly not the last of Children of the Forrest. There will be more in Isle of Faces, where Meera and Bran will be headed, in my opinion. And I'm sure we will learn more about the big reveal of them creating White Walkers.

Also, I don't think Benjen Stark will be returning, as much as I'd like it. I think the guy who saves them will be Howland Reed.

And that is most certainly not the only weirwood. There is more in Winterfell and also in Isle of Faces.

They went back so that Three Eyed Raven could compete Bran' training. He specifically took Bran to that time in Winterfell where Willys was alive and well. For more information on this, refer to this. https://www.reddit.com/r/gameofthrones/comments/4kwhmu/everything_listen_to_your_friend_brandon/

maryfarrukh I know why he took him. I'm saying that it was a shitty time and situation. Knowing that whitewalkers are just infront of you and all you care about that training.

They had absolutely no way of knowing how quickly Night' King will come for them.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
