HTC? LG? How about Xiaomi? Even super close to stock android OnePlus can't keep up.
Out of all manufacturers who have heavy custom skins on Android, Samsung is one of the only who makes an effort to deliver security patches.

You say security updates as if the critical or major ones aren't delivered or pushed in time. The less severe ones are delivered, possibly late, but they're delivered.

Yes, I don't know any assholes who would intentionally cripple my phone, a device that is potentially life-saving in many situations and extremely important in others. You went out of your way to cripple the phone of 3 people and you feel like a big shot. Thank you for mentioning this incident, it confirms the level of maturity you exhibit. I do not want people like you anywhere physically near me, let alone in my life as my so-called friend.

I'm glad of all the phones in the world, it happened on an iPhone. Apple takes this seriously and it was fixed promptly, unlike that 7 month old bootloader bug.

It was discovered while an Oreo build was being tested. There's a script that allowed people access to download beta OTAs from Samsung servers and someone running a beta Oreo build discovered it and submitted to them. It's barely 1-2 weeks old. Wasn't present on Nougat so obviously not 7 months old.

While the Snapdragon 845 variant of the Galaxy S9 performed largely as advertised and as we had been told to expect by Qualcomm, the Exynos 9810 failed to live up to its hype in real-world scenarios. Effectively, the Exynos 9810 variant and as evidenced by all the data we collected, is the slower variant of the two.

s8 is awesome if only u knew the software improvement out of the box tht samsung bring from all the older phones.. the secure Knox is the best feature ever but few people know how to use it for double fb double whatsapp etc ... and the phone is fully encrypted out of the box unlike older phones.

these are the great things of S8...

s9 is just more of the same which isnt bad at all.

m not a fan of any so please dont pull me in any arguements but do own a s8+ as it came with a warranty.

i dont think iphones come with warranty, only some shop in centaurus was offering warranty but 20-30k extra price compared to market price.

I agree to phone's not being that innovative anymore,although I like S9 , S8 and Note 8 both didnt attract me at all ,especially the black S8 reminded me as if Samsung picked up the jet black which Apple dropped ,the matte metal frame on S7 edge and Note 7(Now FE) seemed more premium to me compared to a glossy paint job

Samsung Really ditched some great colors over the years ,I remember paying extra 700 Yuans for just the Amber Brown color of Galaxy S3(Even Huawei Implemented that into their phones) ,the emerald green and sapphire black s6 ,the actual Coral Blue of Note 7 with Gold Frame


So far I'm only looking forward to P20 Pro,OP6 and Mix 2s or Mate RS (especially in red really looks like a accessory to go with 918 spyder or smth)

Its basically a recycled design from S8, with improved camera which still gets outdone by Pixel 2.

Samsung likes to do it for couple of years before introducing new design ...

I upgraded from S7 edge to S9+ so for me its a major upgrade. Last year i didn't upgraded to S8+ due to finger print position. Now, its better, rightly place at the finger where mostly your finger resides while holding the phone.

Camera is great, good in low light and in night. Finger print performance is also good. Intelligent scan is nice but not upto Iphone X.

Size is also not big as compare to S7 Edge.

I wish if 128 or 256 GB variants also get introduced in PK with official warranty as i had S7 edge 128 GB (with Official warranty) along 200 GB card.

S7 edge (128GB) was launched much later than the standard 32GB S7 edge in Pakistan.

The higher storage models of the S9+ in 128/256 will probably be launched here later, possibly alongside the Note 9 in August/September.
