MULTI Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary NA and Japan details

The event will take place at the Shibuya event space between September 1 and 2, with the highlight being the unveiling of a new Final Fantasy XIII game on the first day.

Day two will play host to the Final Fantasy VII 15th Anniversary Stage, on which the voice cast from the series will make an appearance.

At 7:30 p.m., Square Enix will share “new details about the direction of Lightning’s story” via a special video message from Final Fantasy XIII-2 producer Yoshinori Kitase, director Motomu Toriyama, and art director Isamu Kamikokuryo.

Well, there were plenty of reasons for fans to be excited about FFXIII prior to its release, but no one had imagined that it would turn out to be one large corridor-fest of BS proportions

Well I still had a lot of fun with FFXIII. I don't exactly hate the game. Not my favorite FF of the lot, but still packing a lot of entertainment value.

FFX wrapped up pretty nicely, in that case they made the sequel to cash in .. FFXIII had major gaping plot holes in the ending that demanded either additional content or a proper explanation, square rather chose to make a full new game -_-

I did enjoy FF XIII but not so vaguely as the previous FFs which are still fresh in my mind to date. What killed XIII for me was the unnecessary sequel and now we are getting the third part. I mean WTF Square Enix.

FF IV, VI,VII, VIII, IX X and XII(the best of them all) are all masterpieces(maybe not X, but that's just because of Tidus' damn annoying voice, made me wanna kill him). XIII is great too but no way did it deserve a sequel

The world deserves another go at Ivalice (FF12), leave the characters but bring back the world, so many unique and awesome locations, plus you only get to play around in one country of the "world" in the entire game, there's so much more that can be explored.

I'm also hoping that since Tabata is going to be there (Type-0 director) they might actually announce an English version of Type-0 for PSP/Vita or even better they might just put it up on PSN/XBLA *fingers crossed*

Along with Persona 4 Golden that would be the most amazing thing ever.

IIRC, there was a Tactics game based on the same world.

Vagrant Story, FF Tactics, FF Tactics Advance and FFXII. It's definitely a much better world to revisit concept wise than Cocoon/Pulse.

I wish that action FFXII sequel GRIN games were working on didnt get canned

I think Square Enix is just milking the Final Fantasy franchise by releasing XIII -2. They did the same with X -2. Which was unnecessary, FFX itself was a great game with a great ending. Anyways FF VI to X were the best for me.
