So it's down in Johar Town area as well. I know of outage in Model Town, Mustafa Town and Iqbal Town as well as in Samanabad at least for me. Looks like most Lahore is down.

Their Fiber people were telling me the problems they're having with their equipment because of heat since Fiberlink isn't installing the required cooling systems for external devices and they aren't designed to operate in extreme heat without them.

They will keep repairing the fiber every day when it goes down, but will not take the one time undertaking of shifting most of the network underground.

Sometimes I wonder why the management in Karachi is so incompetent that they can't figure this out.

This is a good feedback on this forum. Fiberlink is such a bad company, I am glad I will be getting my refund tomorrow. 4 months now and they have failed to install internet in township lahore. Broken promises from workers to the brother of owner who is visiting lahore. So many deadlines later, I am ready to get my refund now. Kabhi koi masla, kabhi shipment nhi aa rahi, kabhi bachay nhi aa rahay. No proper support in lahore. Bullshit after bullshit. I suggest you guys dont give them any more of your money and look elsewhere if available.

The main problem is in most areas the best alternative is PTCL. Stormfiber/Optix cover very few areas. While Ptcl is great for gaming, it doesn't do much else. I have been using 200mb (400mb during night) package from fiberlink in almost the same financials that i used to pay for the 12mb PTCL package. I would agree on the shitty installation times and the constant lying/Changing dates. I'd say it was worth the wait, Pings are pretty good to all regions. Minor disconnection issue (Major for some areas). If they fix that and the installation period, they can become a solid Isp.

PTCL isn't great for gaming either. Have been forced to use PTCL for the past week. Been getting 150ms ping to Singapore and around 180ms to Europe in Overwatch. And that's when pings actually remain stable for a while. Most of the time they are massively jumping around to even 200 or 300 ms.

On Fiberlink I used to get consistent 90ms ping to Singapore with Mudfish most of the time.

I had to say something positive about Ptcl lol. It was fine for gaming when i was using it last year. The max 1Mb upload is the worse. Sending a large file would spike the pings to like 500ms on most servers.

@yusufjee i am also from township lahore , and i called usman today , he said that i will get my connection in 15 days.can you tell me your location in township ?

Mudfish is great. I only play Overwatch on the PC so I use the single game subscription thats like 80 cents a month. But the closest Overwatch servers are in the Singapore region and direct routing to them via Fiberlink / Transworld is pretty bad.

I don't know what pings you get for LoL but if you have servers in UAE then there won't be much difference. I'd suggest you try it out first and see if it makes a significant difference for you.

Mudfish supports LoL only for Japan. I player overwatch but damn it was laggy. Should I try overwatch via mudfish?
