Honestly don't apply for the connection until or unless they are in your area. It's been 4 months I've paid them still no refund/no connection. When you call them just ask about your area. Is it covered or not. Don't mention that you need a connection they'll come next day to pickup money from you saying we can install it in 30 to 45 days which they can't.

i which area are u in. i talked to them, on phone they said their service is not available in my area so when the service will be available they will tell me and install my package and take payment then.

Damn lucky you . Good stay away from them till they are in you're area. Don't apply until they say they can install the connection in a day or two. I am located in Faisal Town.

Their technical team arrived at around 9:30 at night to setup the connection, this was after they had installed fiber and provided the modem.

I am not going in detail but after very hard 3 weeks I got the external wiring up & got the device installed today but the link is not up. Tomorrow they will send a man who will get the link up & test the connection.

Yeah they came to my house in evening around 7.

P.S. Lahore walo stay away if they say we need 30 to 45 days. That is just plain b******* because after four months it took them only 3 days to install. So I dont know what they were doing for the rest of the time.

After a lot of pain, hassle & calls finally my connection is up & running. So far it is good not just good but very good.

Do they set up the new router themselves or will they provide with PPPoE username/ Password?

Yes they gave me username & password but they did bind my PC's mac address which I had to clone on my router. As far as I know they need one device mac address to bind on their end. Device with different mac address will not work you will have to change the mac to the one they have. In short different mac address or device with different mac address doesn't connect to internet.

Just attach your own router to the Modem and give them its MAC address to authenticate with. Or just spoof the MAC address of the router that they gave (in your case, your PC's MAC address)

Yeah I cloned my PC's Mac address on to my own router.

I've had to move away from TPLINK. I was facing packet loss issues before, talked to CS and they recommended I change the router, even though I had switched 2 routers, but this time I'm using a Mikrotik router, no issues since then

Don't know if it still has reliability issues or not.

Although I've been getting 98-99% up time these past months, I would still recommend StormFiber as Fiberlink is still unreliable. One month can be good, the other can be absolutely terrible. On a side note, I'm paying 2500 PKR for 75Mbps up/down; 150Mbps after midnight so I really can't complain too much lol.

Does Stormfiber have any double bandwidth offer? I've applied for their 10 mb connection, and am now waiting for it to be installed. Hoping the service is good.

Fiberlink is giving better game pings during peak hrs compared to stormfiber.

I have a gigabit router (ethernet) but I don't have a gigabit ethernet cable so I can't reach 150Mbps. I can max out to 100Mbps on ethernet and around 150Mbps on my Nexus 6p (5Ghz Wifi):

Around 10MB/s on torrents.
