Btw they are not giving routers to new users just modem. You'll have to purchase wireless router yourself.

Do they set up the new router themselves or will they provide with PPPoE username/ Password?

Yes, a TP-LINK WR740N.

Well they came to my house today and they said that they dont give one anymore since january or something. Anyways, i had one so they used that. They took an hour to setup the connection talking to some guy in their server room. Anyways, they set it up and left. The speed was great and superfast. I used it for about 3 minutes or so and then went out. Came back after sometime and it was not working anymore. This makes me angry as it has been hours. I hope it is something at their end and would be fixed automatically as i dont want the hassle of trying to call someone to fix it.

I had the same issue, kept texting the installation guy about it. He sent someone today, turns out it was a faulty module at the backend, he had it replaced and left barely an hour ago. Let's see how it fairs this time.

Note: Make sure your PPPOE connection is set to connect automatically, he mentioned mine was set to connect on demand which was causing some disconnect issues other than the ones because of the backend.

haha... he mentioned your name, you in cantt right? well the awais guy did a lot of stuff today that did not work... the pppoe settings were not working... he put me in touch with a guy in karachi, with whom i spent half an hour on the phone and got the connection working at last... the settings that worked were the factory default setting of the modem lolz, without any username/passwords or anything like that...

For a GPON service, FiberSink is the prime example of 'shit'.

For the last 4 years, the service has been working as such:

Good for 1 month (Not excellent, just good), then bad for 3 months. For 2016, March was really good. But mid April onwards, it has been shit again. I can barely stream Twitch.tv on 'low' without stutters, having a 50 MBPS connection I might add.

As soon as I switch on uTorrent, the nets goes to hell. And there is packet loss, yet again.

Overall I'd say if you have PTCL 4 MBPS, keep at it. Try to get it to work better. But if you invest in FiberSink, get ready to get sunk, punk hehe so many puns I think the nets is manifesting itself as a real entity causing mental retardism. Brb have to brush my nose.

Well i am getting connected right now the FL guys have been at it since 1pm its taking quite some time to be honest but atleast the wait is over

lmao got this shit for a month to try out. hardly ever works even when it does work this fecking 10mb connection is slower than my main connect 4mb connection

either there is some problem with my router or the uptime is very low, it is just not up more than half the time... it works for an hour or two and then goes down for several hours after that...

Well i got mine installed yesterday like i said before been working great since last night but it just disconnected at 6pm today and still waiting for it to come back is online anyone else disconnected right now ?
