Interesting. PTCL gave me same results. But still the ping to eune server for league of legends is impressive.

@wiqs43 I'm getting around 50ms higher than normal to US right now. I normally get 240ms to East Coast. Currently getting 285ms.

And somebody explain this to me

Whaaaaat... 34ms??? I am not sure if this is pinging the actual server. The ping to EU server will always be Higher than 140 at least.

Is that a LoL server? I don't play any MMOs but don't they have a server in Dubai or EU?

Yep its a lol server ip.

They have 2 servers in EU.
EUNE and EUW.
I started off with EUNE but I have had experience playing on NA server in SaudiArabia for brief 5 days. And man I was surprised they are much better players.

They are adding Fiber wiring connections to my area. Talked to the worker and he said that the new upgrade is to insure that downtimes and pings don't happen.

Still skeptical though, but they seem like my best chance at an upgrade, and I really don't want Worldcall.

I'm thinking of trying this network. I'm currently using PTCL 4mbps, and thinking of getting the 10 or 20mbps package from fiberlink. I have some questions though..
Is it available in Lahore Cantt area, near fortress stadium?
How is the network? Are there frequent down times & disconnections?
My usage includes browsing and downloading only. I almost never game online.

You have to call them to inquire about availability. Contact information can be found in the first post.
It had been relatively stable the last month (around 15 hours of downtime in 30 days) but this week has been pretty bad (around 14 hours of downtime for all of Lahore)
It's perfect for downloading and pretty good for browsing for the most part (the network gets choked for a few hours every day; but it seems to be better now).

I've been using StormFiber (by CyberNet) in Clifton Karachi. It's a bit more expensive but it's reliable and have never had a problem in 3 months. I was previously using Worldcall and PTCL and it's much better. I'm tempted to try FiberNet, but I'd rather pay a premium to get CyberNet level of service. Hmm?

Fiberlink has always had choking issues during the afternoon till late at night. If you plan to watch streams and play games online, stay the eff away from Fiberlink.

For the last 2 days, I have been disconnecting every 5 minutes for around 10 minutes; basically the internet is barely on.

Also, the customer service is all bahana and little to no work. Pings/choking gets fixed automatically at late night hours and early morning hours.

Stability and consistency is the last thing on Fiberlink's mind right now. They're just pushing their annual deals down everyone's throats and once you sign the paper you're an idiot like me whining about it on forums because they aren't picking up their phones or replying on emails.

    You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
