Yea I sometimes get 300+ pings to my fiberlink IP from PTCL.
Why do they peer internationally though? You shouldn't get pings more than 40ms between two IPs in the same country? Right? (assuming the country isn't huge)

Well I don't know about you then, but I can't even watch a Twitch.tv stream on the lowest quality setting. Is that normal? Am I the only one?

Update: Last 3-4 days everything has been fine. Latency is proper. Still can't stream Twitch on highest settings with a 20MBPS connection. A few hours a day everything slows down (bandwidth getting choked?), but other than that satisfactory service.

I play league of legends on EUNE and EUW servers - PTCL sucks because it gives jitters/lag spikes.
I've been looking for alternatives and I would love to get onto Fiberlink only if the ping is good for me.

A lot better than 210ms i get on PTCL.
I read the entire thread - I have a LOT of questions but I'd stick to couple of them for now.

1. Are there any Allama Iqbal Town customers (near wahdat road)?
2. [MENTION=25535]frazgta[/MENTION] since the time you are using Fiberlink, how much downtime+unstable ping you have experienced? Percentage?
3. How much are you paying for 10Mb?

The first month or so was godawful. Now I get around 97-98% uptime. Ping is still unstable though and will remain so until the underwater cable is fixed (no idea when). Ping is unstable from 3-5PM and 9.30-11.30PM.

3. How much are you paying for 10Mb?

2k without taxes. Add taxes and you get ~2700PKR

I am so desperate to replace PTCL :( and this ping issue is bad across the all/LIMITED ISPs we all know.

Wonder how much I have to wait to get a better replacement.
I am still lingering to the thought to get Fiberlink... fingers crossed for underground crap going on.

Just caught up with most of the development.

Fiberlink seems tempting to replace Worldcall, and I have no desire to switch to PTCL.

Hopefully the underground cable issue resolves soon and I'll definitely try to arrange a switch to it.
