One of their routers is causing this issue. They restart it multiple times a day (unconfirmed but plausible because every connection in Lahore goes down when It happens and all the issues are resolved once the reboot cycle completes). According to their Support team, the router will be replaced by tomorrow.

Well, just paid for my new connection. They've given me a window of 30-45 days for the connection to be set up. I hope they install it sooner.

Would've gone for Stormfiber, but my block is like the Bermuda triangle of Johar Town. No coverage from any ISP other than PTCL (2MB maximum with a lot of jitters, and extremely unstable SNR and ATTN).

I have applied for 100mbps since 23rd August in Model Town H block. And now they are saying Model Town society is not giving them permission. Is anyone in model Town society using fiberlink. Kindly mention your block and experience.

I was meaning to message you on PSN, but something always came up when I was about to lol.
Downloads are exquisite, not having a data cap has allowed me to run out of things to download. Browsing was a little lackluster at first, but issues got fixed (thankfully). The downtime may not be common, but they sure are annoying. I have to laud them over their staff's unprofessionalism though, they left PTCL behind in that aspect. All in all, 7/10. Not much regret as yet (2t)

SMW5 should have been operational sometime this month. So far no news. It should be up and running before Year-end 2016.

It should resolve most, if not all, of the congestion issues at peak hours. Here's hoping!

The new cable is also going to have dual entries into EU via France and Italy. Afaik, the same is being offered on pie network atm.

Most definitely, unless there's a chance of StormFiber and/or Optix coming to your area soon.
Although downloads/uploads have hit a bump on FiberLink lately (on my side), they offer great packages.
It really depends on your usage, though.

Stormfiber is also launching in my area most of their development is complete. I have asked Fiberlink to tell complete details of their fiber in my area and asked for technician to contact me

I wanted to ask about everyone who's currently using their connection, how is it working? Do you recommend this network?
I'm a power user, I do play online games, stream hd videos, do some heavy downloading at times.
I would be thankful for the authentic information that I would get.

I've been using Fiberlink since late 2012 (firstly as CIR and now as FTTH user). It has ups and downs (mostly downs until early 2016), but for the most part it is way better than any DSL or wireless service out there.

Since you're a gamer you should know that there is no such thing as 'consistent latency' in Pakiland - regardless of server locations (EU, SEA, US, etc.). I'll skip the earlier years of consistent bad service and talk about 2016+, when they finally fixed their infrastructure. Keeping the last 4-5 months in view, here's where Fiberlink's at:
1) No disconnects all month
2) Streams working on max presets (Twitch and YouTube) and other nize streams hehe
3) Latency consistent (no spikes and timeouts or disconnects)
4) Download speed always stable/max (10 MB/sec for me)

HOWEVER, for the last week or so, latency has been up and down during evening hours. These things are bound to happen with ANY connection in PKland, even with SF, TES, PTCL or whatever. It's just congestion/bottlenecking on a national level so ISPs can only make up excuses to stall grievances.

I have also heard people complain a lot about FL in certain areas. I live in Defence Ph 4-7 and I'm a happy FL customer, for now.
My suggestion would be to go for it - monthly package and NEVER an annual one. Make frandship with guy for early installation, maybe even have tea with him during payment visit. Add them on Whatsapp and if they make bahana ke no modem in stock tell them to bring wire and you'll get your own (if you can, otherwise when they bring wire you tell them JKLOL plz get me purana one juz for now).

I'd advise getting one or two reviews of SF while you're at it. FL will take a while to set-up your connection, and they are far from professional in any aspect imagineable.
