Warning: There are spoilers in both this video and the story.



Far Cry 4 isn't even out yet and someone's already completed it in 15 minutes. No, not a speedrunner, just some observant types who, rather than trying to escape in the game's opening sequence, simply wait around for madman Pagan Min to return.



Ubisoft Montreal included a delightful little alternate ending for those who are a little more ... cautious in their approach. We'll embed the video here and then start the description of what's going on after that, to give those who ignored the spoiler alert above a final chance to bail out.


So here's the deal. The player portrays Ajay Ghale, who has returned to Kyrat with his mother's ashes to inter them with the cremains of his sister. That leads him into the hands of Pagan Min, the Kyrati dictator who in a bloody civil conflict with the Golden Path, the rebel group Ghale/you will join.


You're taken captive and sit down at a meal with Min. After going through all of this, most people would seek to escape rather than hang around with someone who has murdered one of his own soldiers, and is now going to torture the shit out of your companion.


However, if you do stick around to "enjoy the crab rangoon," or whatever, for at least 10 minutes, Min returns. Skip to 10:20 of the above video to see what happens. There's even a Press X to Pay Respects (although not using exactly those words) moment that is hilariously coincidental. As for spoilers, it's probably just going to confirm what you already suspected after that opening sequence.


Anyway that's it. Game's over. Can we finally shoot some goddamn guns?

Anyone download the "demo" yet? Its graphical corruption galore for me. Would anyone with an NVIDIA card confirm this for me please? The cutscenes are extremely blurry for me and the actual game has graphical glitches. The game, otherwise, feels great. I swear I heard one of the NPCs call me "behen c***" when I killed one of them.

So been playing for about 4 hours now, applied a couple of patches and the game simply looks amazing AND its probably one of the BEST PC optimized games i've seen recently. everything maxed out and still GPU usage not 100%
I wasn't expecting much I have to admit, this is one sweet ass game. Not as "easy" as FC3, you can NOT just go around taking outposts anymore, them hunters one shot you, especially since im on Hard difficulty.
So many animals, SO many ways to kill, AND THE SWEARING, OH GOD THE SWEARING! Urdu mein ma behan aik kar daitay hain salay

Like the terrain if depicts, Far Cry 4 travels both high and low, representing the good, the bad, and ugly of video games all at once. It's awesome and messy and dumb and fun and annoying and gross and beautiful. Take any given adjective in your vocabulary, and chances are, it will in some way describe Far Cry 4.

THE GOOD
A big world filled with ways to create your own excitement
Cooperative play opens up fun new options
Great economy keeps you moving and exploring

THE BAD
Awful story, awful characters, questionable themes
Constant nagging at odds with the freeform sandbox

Cracked atm, will buy when on winter sale. Patches out for crack mate, some version had trouble with maps, this 1.12GB patch fixed everything

I guess they cant swallow the idea of a non-american protagonist and non-american characters speaking a "foreign accent". I think it comes with the nationality.

There is a LOT of 'Oye bh*****d' in this game, makes me laugh every time. The game is pretty much more Far Cry 3 so far but I'm facing a lot micro-stuttering issues. The map is also entirely black for some reason. Anyone getting this on the pc version?

yeah man, you need to get the v2 patch, its 1.12GB big, and will fix the map and stuttering and improve FPS a LOT. Or you can download the latest OFFICIAL patch v.3 i think. Both will fix it, ive only tested the unofficial one though.

Hahahaha... A couple of posts earlier, someone posted a Gamespot review score. In context to these Punjabi abuses i dont think that review score would even count... For us Pakis this is a real treat to enjoy a game in our native tongue... Although i havent played the game (Will play it after GTA 5) I did saw some videos of enemies shouting in urdu and it sounds a whole lot interesting to me....
