FARCRY 2 square-ish trees O.o ?

I just got fc 2, and this is what I get when I run it:

The trees?!?! Who cut them into boxes ? NO FAIR!!! this is nothing like Crysis!! I wnat my mommy!

but well anyway, could anyone tell me why is this happening and a solution would be appreciated.

where is this bridge located near which area i wanna check this glitch out ? do u see everywhere boxed trees
then the dvd would be faulty or something else could be wrong its not a hardware fault surely
but at the looks of ur spec u have a p4 , fc2 utilizes c2d family well lets see what other people have to say.
check my specs out i didnt see any glitches i am running it flawlessly at high settings
20 to 25 fps.

Eithier its your hardware, the DVD or you havent updated video drivers.

1. firstly mate, update your driver to latest catalyst.
2. 2ndly mate, do a reinstall from another dvd or download from torrent.
3. it is your hardware(extremely low chance of it though)

make sure you meet min req. of this game also mate

2ndly i doubt its the dvd, as most installers give crc error if the dvd is indeed corrupt

yeah, the boxy trees are shown everywhere. @babloo: its at the start of the game when the cab guy talk about... you can relate by the subtitles. It does not lag very much. the settings i kept are a mix between very high and medium, it runs smooth that way. But the trees...

I tried update ati catalyst to 8.9, no dice. ill have to try catalyst 8.10. for some reason, all i get is the beta release, where the fack is the official download dammit! No google results. I guess ill have to go with the beta download for now.

did u dl or buy it ? my suggestion to buy an another copy if u dl it .
or wait for a patch or try to lower settings mess around with the tree textures a bit .
oh i forgot to mention ! how,s crysis running on ur rig if no problems occuring wid crysis
then this sure is a bad copy that u have . first check on crysis results then we will see whats behind this glitch .

It's workin all good now. Downloaded the official update, was a pain tho. Kept showing errors. But i got it to work. Strange tho. Ma old drivers processed crysis with no problems. It was catalyst 8.4 =D. Well its workin' so thanks to evryone who helped. =)

it boosts performance of 4870x2 and cards in cross fire.

Never encountered this problem my self playin it on 1280x1024 on Ultra High Settings.

You should try to update the driver as well as try using the fix . See if it helps u
