Rooney also caught Newcastle's defenders in possession 2 or 3 times today lol. I loved it when he continuously harassed the players.

I loved it how Welbeck toppled over everytime he got the ball in the last 30 or so mins.

I think the only drawback of the game was De Geas inability to deal with Newcastle crosses. He is still that frail little figure that arrived at OT last season.

nah it was a cross... he was as startled as anyone else when it ended up in the back of the net...

rooney had 2 assists... rvp took the corner from which evans scored...

and welbeck was absolutely worthless today, as he's been throughout this season

Hmm true maybe it was RVP on the other corner flag. The signal at my end was very poor :s I thought that Welbz had scored at first lol... Turned out it was Evra.

4 assists for Roo in 2 games
Welbeck was poor today, true. He missed a few goals. Wished Chicho was brought in to replace him <__<
Kagawa was also not playing well today.
RVP is repaying what Fergie paid for him.

But overall it was an excellent footballing game for a neutral IMO, atleast for the first ~65 minutes.

Newcastle's dominance after the 35th minute to the 55th minute was also great to watch. It was exciting.

Bad news for you guys. Mancini witnessed at Malaga vs. Athletico Madrid game and reports suggest he is going to land Falcao and Isco this January. I do hope this doesn't happen as these Big G clubs are snatching away stars from La Liga for a while now and it has to stop.

Damnit. Falcao + Tevez = kickass partnership. Heck Falcao alone would be equal to Tevez + Dzeko + Balo.

BTW next round of games will be played after 12 days. There is an international break coming up...

20th October:
Tot vs Chelsea.
United vs Stoke.
WBA vs City.
Norwich vs Arsenal.
Pool vs Reading.
Tyne Wear Derby also to be played on this day.

interesting developments

"We know that Mancini has come to watch, but we are calm on the subject of Falcao.” Cerezo said. “I suppose Mancini is here to look for a house in Malaga!"

how's the real estate in malaga nowadays? :p

There is a severe buzz going on since his visit amongst Spanish Media regarding future of Falcao.

Provided Ath. Madrid are now looking for Porto's James Rodriguez so it's almost done and it's a smart move to pay off debts which is 515M euros. Now, it's just a matter of time considering there recent run in Liga which is really impressive uptil now staying h2h with leaders it's safe to say he will stay with them till next summer and if they qualify for UCL then forget Falcao  as Valencia has recruited around 5-6 players and they will take their time to settle here.

Price of Falcao will be high rumour has it they will release this guy around 60M or above which is not a problem for rich kids of EPL afaik.

Isco might not be sold to anyone as that shiekh has developed interest again and there is a statement 'Owner has not refused investment' there recent run both in Liga and UCL is quite convincing.

methinks it will be decided by falcao himself.... if he wants to stay, there is no reason athletico should sell him.... he's one of a kind

Aguero + Falcao? Mouthwatering prospect. However, Mancini can go buy the moon and he's still not going to be able to win the CL.

Rooney on JT: "John has been fantastic for us, hes an old-fashioned centre-half, not afraid to get his foot in. He has been great.

"Obviously he has made his decision to retire and we have to respect it.

"But of course he will be a loss to us. Him and Paolo Maldini are probably the two toughest defenders I have played against."

The more interesting statistic is that Wembley is sold out for the game against San Marino.

It would be so funny if England struggle against them! 90,000 people booing! That will make my day!
