Cold drinks are not good for you. Period.
You drink a LOT of it. Cut back on your intake. Take it down to a glass a day. Then try to reduce it even further to 3-4 times a week and see if you are noticing any improvement.

To all the people saying stop drinking:
It's not that easy to quit when addicted, alot of people don't take addiction seriously. It's not like he can just say to his brain, "nope no cold drinks for today or tomorrow". Your brain will give these urges that will slowly by slowly increase and in time you won't be able to resist. It's best to keep yourself preoccupied with activities and hobbies so that your mind will just ignore these urges. And no, addiction does not just apply for cigarettes and drugs, soft drink addiction is a real problem which i also have. No matter how hard I try to quit i just can't, also Roo afza/jama-shiri taste like shit compared to cold drinks
(my opinion) and are not a suitable replacement. Unless you can find a suitable replacement for your cold drink intake, you're going to have to devolop some other method to quit or reduce the intake amount.

well your bones are done... i am sure they can be broken by my bare hands by now... anyways, i am sure you have trouble digesting if you eat a little more food than normal and everyone around you covers their noses most of the time due to all the farting caused by too much acidic activity in your stomach and destroying your gastrointestinal activity... it destroys the stomach and then any other organ... i am sure you feel a lot of nausea with an empty stomach accompanied by a lot of burps and ofcrourse heart burns and acid reflux when you eat spicy stuff... it won't be apparant if you are a teen as you recover fast but trust me, in your thirties you will be shitting blood(don't even have to get old nowadays to experience side effects of bad habbits in your youth)...
very nice bhai :)

Your average soda has about 9 teaspoons of sugar per 500ml (13 if you're talking about Sting) and you're drinking 3-6 times that amount in a day, it should be a no brainer that you need to lay it off. You're already exceeding your daily calorie requirement twice-fold and that's not even counting the potential risk of tooth decay and bone thinning.

This isn't the type of physiological addiction you get from smoking cigarettes or taking drugs. This is purely a psychological addiction. Your body isn't gonna face the same kind of substance withdrawal if you stop drinking. You just have to grow out of it. I managed to quit these pretty easily not too long ago and switched over to Green Tea. Now I can't even stand the taste of them.

I have been drinking cold drinks since i was like 8 so yeah it's been a hella long time and right now it's feels impossible to quit. I tried to drink something else instead of cold drinks, something else that doesn't have any harmful side effects so i tried beverages like slice, pakola milks, roo afza, tang, etc. but nothing.... i would always turn back to pepsi or sting. At this point i have lowered the amount i drink on a weekly basis to around 3 - 4 500 ML drinks by simply staying preoccupied and lack of money. I don't think i could lower this any further and i haven't discovered any good substitute, any suggestions on good drinks?

You are your own enemy.

You will develop serious health problems and you will suffer because you actually enjoy your addiction.

You don't want to quit. You love it.

What's stopping you from quitting?

Whatever it is, its bullshit.

Man the fuck up and control your addiction coz it Abuses will lead to ban controls you right now.

That is really not normal, you shouldn't have been having them from such a young age. Also, those alternatives you listed aren't healthy either, they're only slightly behind the fizzy drinks. The culprit here is sugar, not the additives. There aren't any "good drinks" as far I'm concerned. Anything you buy from your local store that isn't water or milk is bad for you. You can try lemonade with two teaspoons of sugar, it isn't great but it's better than downing a few cans of coke a week.

Like I said, this isn't an addiction, it's a habit. It all comes down to your own lifestyle choices.

anyone has a problem with addiction? okay, lets make it easy for you... go to the northern areas... some remote place where you won't find anything other than snow or rock... go to the base camp of some high as hell mountain... i am sure it will take you more than a week to go there and then come back. After a week, it is 90% easier to quit smoking(i am sure you have no idea how hard it is to quit smoking... caffine is childsplay...)... and even then if you start again then it means one simple thing. YOU DON'T WANT TO QUIT... no other explanation... it is not hard to quit things as there is only one philosophy of doing it... JUST QUIT... no slowly going off of it or any other crap... be a muslim and think about what you would need when you are called upon to fight for your country and religion... prepare yourself for that and stop whining... you don't know real addiction yet...

I myself dont drink 'soda-mized' cold drinks, i simply dont like all that soda overclocking my digestive system.

Two days ago i went to a friends house and he gave me a small bottle of Mountain Dew, man drinking that stuff was torture and i'm not exaggerating.

3-4 500ml a week is fine. Even I consume that much and I won't call it an addiction.

Well one of my colleague and a good friend of mine...started drinking fanta and other cold drinks too much like 1.5 litter or twice of it a day.... He got fat within couple of years (few years back he was body builder and had great health). Our job is mostly field work and everyone notice that he cant keep up the pace at work. He gets tired quickly and tries to find a ride to reach even very near places where others would recommend walking to it. His digestive system is done. Even after eating peanut he would go to toilet. Few days back he started to shit blood. He is so addicted to the drinks that when he gets little exhausted he would say buy me a drink otherwise I would get faint and after drinking little of that shit he would feel ok.
I also drink alote when its easily available at home. But I try to avoid it by not going to stores where that wonderful non avoidable box full of drinks is waiting for you to scratch ur pocket.
Changing lifestyle can help in controlling the addiction also if someone is consuming lots of drinks and is not consuming it in some way (exercise or workout). They will face more side effects.
Tooth decay stomach problem and bones density loss is unavoidable while consuming loots of cold drinks.

General Tip
Calories intake should be followed by calories consuming activities to avoid obesity.

In short lessening your cold drink consumption is better and saying no to it is best thing for you.
