Transferred Hitman Absolution last night using a wired connection, took less than 45mins to transfer 17gbs.

A wired connection is a must for transferring huge games, if it was done on a wireless connection it would have taken more than 10 hours.

THat idea i had would've worked because i found out if you used that proxy program (PS3YAB) to bypass the latest updates all that program done was upload a fake ps3updatelist.txt to the ps3 using a proxy server... But we cant do that because the ps3 bypasses all proxy servers

it has a 137 Mb downloader that will download the game i.e 27 GB so that you can play it while it downloads
So My question.. does this method work on this installer thing aswell ?
i dont think so because the installer installs as it downloads !! haina ?

Nope it does not work with games like this. Take DC Universe online for example, it downloads a smaller installer first then when we run that installer it starts downloading the game. The best way is to get Disc Version in same price( I guess) or get a better connection

Yep it is working alright. I downloaded Hitman 17gb few days back.

hi i have done every step required to set up proxy server also the required steps for the ps3...and when i started the dload update for fifa 13 demo it download via IDM and when i tried to transfer it on the ps3 it doesnt dload at the speed of light or the suggested speed in the tut....why is that?

Are u are applying this method using wifi then u get really low speeds try through ethernet

I think its worth a shot.

Try doing this trick with smaller size game, so if it fails you wouldn't end up with 13gb of wasted bandwidth

It will only work that way if the PKG file you will download via torrent is non-modded and of the same region as your PSN account. Otherwise you will get and error after transfering. As

r3aper said, try downloading smaller size game and test it.

Edit: Also if you are getting slow speeds on "Internet Download Manager" then use "Flashget" instead. I was getting very slow speeds but when I downloaded via flashget, speed was 450-500kbps average.

What do you mean direct downloading is slow? I always get great speeds on IDM. =/

Ok, My data transfer is not working anymore, Is it because of the new update? I turned on my ps3 after a while, updated then downloaded FFIV beta video but it wasn't transferring, i paused and resume a couple of times then it transfered. Now i downloaded dust f2p game and its not transferring i tried the pause resume thing many times but when i resume the game on ps3 it starts downloading from the psn...
