Just connected to a 103.28.54.*** and the ping is decent. I dunno what the actual issue is.
Sometimes, on 350+ servers, a router restart fixes the issue.

Equinix, on singtel and TMNET things were even worse + packet loss @ peak.

Not all regions, ours is still very very playable @ <200ms. Philippines have it even worse i.e. from 60ms-500ms

in the Pinoy thread on the dev forums they came to the conclusion that it was a lack of capacity of the PLDT link in SGP and not valves fault (which i am assuming is the same issue with PTCL; their links don't have the capacity to cater to all data coming through to that link

Getting 400+ ping on all servers .. Dafuq is wrong with the routes ?

@Itachi, I just did a tracert and my route has as many hops as yours, and the second last hop (habib-rafiq) to last hop time is less than a couple of milliseconds, whereas in your case its taking almost 350ms.

That's Valve's fault there I think.

Is this all something to do with this...... I saw it on Connect Website Connect Communications

Usually i use to play on SEA with 133 ping last night the ping went to 450ms .... and on EU west its 300 (which was 220ms).... ON 4mb PTCL during peak hours i.e. 9.00 pm.

Another thing happened yesterday and which was totally strange..... Me and my bro both were on steam connected to same router his and mine desktop and we are in same party playing on SEA even in the same physical room sitting side by side.... his ping was 150 ms whereas mine was 450ms. I restarted the switch, restarted PC and reconnected to the game nothing happened. That happened for only one game. Next game i created a lobby our both ping went to 450ms on Singapore. then i played on EU West where the ping was 300ms the whole time....

I can mange with high pings but i cannot manage the Russians

Load balancing? Corporate takes precedence? Also there are minimal local losses so connect KHI users get LOW ping. Some KHI PTCL users also get low ping (<90ms).

Alright, so didn't double check this yesterday so sorry about that. Its not IP pool specific, its dynamically load balancing where one path (100ms one) is going directly to equinix SG from PTCL whereas the alternate path is via seabone which is adding 100ms added latency (as of now @ non peak).

p.s If I change my internet IP right now, it might start giving me 200-300ms again (taking seabone path).
p.p.s either way, if anyone gets >250ms to SGP1/SGP2, try reconnecting to internet a couple of times, you might get assigned an IP that is via direct path.
