Reached Anor Londo. I just love this place. Its so beautiful. Anyway, I'm stuck at that place where the knights keep sniping you. I was stuck at the exact place on my last save. I didn't really try hard to get past them last time. I don't need any tips. NO TIPS!!!!!

Also, I feel that the Lightning Spear is overpowered. That, or I just used extremely weak weapons the last time.
Enemies in Anor Londo have a resistance to lightning damage. You'll find it kind of useless soon. :p

Finally got past the annoying archers. Found the bonfire, the giant blacksmith and also defeated the Titanite Demon. Went through the fog gate and got the shock of my life when I saw there were two bosses. I wasn't prepared at all and got killed by Ornstein quickly. I'll try again tonight. As always, I don't need any tips or help.

I'm surprised at how TCG remembers every single detail about the game.

Anyway, I fired up DS today after a long time. Played for a while with my level 130 character and the game is still as good as ever. Stuff like this never gets old ^^

I was just joking with the "Try holding with both hands" tip. :p

But I actually do know everything about this game, I know it better than the back of my hand at times. Guess that's what happens when you play a game as much as I have. :p

Games like Dark Souls (especially Demon's Souls, for me) will never get old. They're instant RPG classics, gamers 20 years from now will play these games and find them able to hold their own against the games of that generation.

The two bosses are f*cking tough. I lost all my humanity in search for a phantom to summon. I also tried invading Lautrec but that fight is difficult as hell. Will be trying again tomorrow.

Okay so I'm back. I went to the Depths for some humanity. Didn't go there before in this playthrough. Killed my first ever invader and summoned two people for the fight against the Gaping Dragon. Not that I think the fight is tough, but I wanted it to be over quickly.

And then I went back to Anor Londo to kill Ornstein and Smough. Goddamn it they are so hard, even with Solaire present. I managed to kill Ornstein but then Smough is practically impossible. I only managed to hit him a few times before dying. Now I have no more humanity.

TrueCoolGuy: I have a Longbow +5 and I was thinking of ascending it. Which upgrade should I go for? Divine, Raw or any other? Also I'll be upgrading my Black Knight Shield. Just need more Twinkling Titanite.

Neither. Upgrade it through the standard path to +15 or less. Another good upgrade path is Chaos +5, couple that with 10 humanity and you'll deal massive damage.

Also, lose the BK Shield. There are better shields that block almost the same but are lighter. Like the Heater Shield, Crest Shield or Balder Shield. Use either of those.

Well, I fully upgraded my shield before I saw your post. And I also fully upgraded my Lightning Spear. Just grinding a little bit for O&S.

Also, I went down to the Hydra in Darkroot Basin. Didn't kill him though. Found the area near the waterfall, but got killed by the archer and the knight in Elite armor.

Enemies in Anor Londo have resistance to Lightning damage, especially Ornsetien and Smough...

How could you get killed by the forest guys? If you're able to reach Anor Londo then you're able to kill the forest guys. =/

I screwed up. One tiny mistake. Suddenly arrows were raining upon me and that knight suddenly shows up and kills me. I'll go back there. And I killed every enemy in Anor Londo with my Lightning Spear. It worked fine against them. I know Ornstein and Smough have lightning resistance. Also, should I get that Lightning Stoneplate(?) ring from that guy in Sen's Fortress? Does it work well against O&S? I would have to grind a bit to get the souls for it.

I think only those gargoyle things have lightning resistance man,and rotipuji use a fire weapon, they are weak against it O&S i mean. And use a lightning resistant shield. I remember that firebombs did a lot of damage when only smough was left. he is slow as hell, was quite easy. Killed him without any armor at all.

No don't bother, all those rings that raise defense are not worth it. They seriously need to be buffed in Dark Souls II, I never used them.

Keep your equip weight below 25% so you can dodge fast in the fight. Kill Ornstein first and Smough later, that's the easy way to killing them. Super Ornstein is hard to handle, Super Smough remains mostly unchanged; he only gets lightning damage on his attacks.

After you kill Ornstein, equip the Red Tear Stone ring and get your health below 30% to activate its ability. Then just get Smough to repeat the hammer charge move while a pillar is between you and him, you'll be able to snipe him that way with a bow or a crossbow. Easy kill.

I have the Havel's ring but I still can't dodge fast. I need to take off one piece of armor to do that. I couldn't get close to Smough after killing Ornstein because of my equip load. Its almost 25% and it makes me too slow. I haven't really bounced around like a ninja since Demon's Souls. And I'll get tons of firebombs too.

Quit wearing heavy gear then. Sacrifice some defense for mobility, unequip anything useless from your character. Don't equip both hand slots for each of your hand with stuff just because, only equip necessities.

I'm still wearing the Standard armor I got with my Warrior class. Seriously need to boost some endurance.
