I think that Witcher 2 is one of the best WRPGs of all time. In regards to Open World, it is not as good as SKYRIM (cuz we get huge maps but still not a huge world like Skyrim, and no ability to move where we will since there are paths laid out). But in terms of story, RPG elements, graphics, gameplay, it beats other WRPG hands down.

Afraid I have to disagree with you there, Ever played Mass Effect? Dragon Age origins? It might have the better visuals but like I've already said Visuals aren't as important as gameplay or story which games have done much better than the Withcer 2.

I dunno what you didn't find enjoyable.

And for this reason, I believe CD Projekt can do something awesome in this game. Plus they are one of the best devs ever. They made a port of an excellent game for X360, gave PC gamers the content for free (which is an unbelievable deed when you consider all the major game companies nowadays). So they are good devs and good people. And they can make an excellent game.

That was a good move by CDPR I have to commend them for that but that doesn't mean tht they're next game will automatically be GOTY.That's the whole point really.You guys react way too much to even the smallest bit of opinion.

I'm not sure how many glitches you may have endured on yoru PC but I played the game for over 80 hours on My 360 and only found a few minor glitches throughout that time, not even a single glitch that woul count as "Game breaking".

Bad graphics? Have you seen the art in SKYRIM? good visuals =/= A fuck ton of AA and resolution.Poor story? Please.SKYRIM's story was great, Idon't know why you thought it was poor of all things, if you want poor stories go play play games like BF3, Crysis 2 or Dark Souls if you like games with no story at all.

If nothing else, it simply just goes to show their anticipation and that people have faith in the devs to put out an excellent game. Lots of people do that here purely based on the dev working on a particular game. Its not that uncommon. You might not have said it, but I'll be damned if you can pick any other game, unbiasedly, as your GoTY, other than ACIII

He didn't call it his GOTY. He said that it will be GOTY 2014, which means that it will have most GOTY 14' awards according to critics; which is nothing but fanboyism as only a few concept arts have been revealed and also that Witcher 2 was not GOTY.

If I was that biased Revelations would've been my 2011 GOTY instead of Arkham City.The problem is that one you start hyping games up to an extent where the games can't even live upto it, it hurts the experience for those people who were expecting great things because of that Hype but what they got wasn't quite as amazing as some people would have them believe this happened to me while playing the Witcher 2 and it's also the reason why I disliked playing the almighty FF VII and Chrono trigger, just because of the sheer amount of hype generated by fans.AC III has been looking fantastic for quite a while but you don't see me going around posting stuff like "OMG! Now, Witcher 2 didn't win GOTY awards and has a metascore of 88. Secondly only freakin' artwork has been released and people are calling it GOTY 14'. Is that not fanboyism?

None of the points you mentioned change the fact that no one had played ME3 before making such statements and therefore both of you were AND are still being fanboyish towards ME3. So you two are the last people that should be pointing fingers here.

And ME3 ending was a clusterfuck and horrible and practically ruined the franchise for many. Bioware being forced to release content explaining the ending proves that.

Moreover, UC2 was the unanimous GoTY as far as the critics are concerned but what happened with UC3? Skyrim and Portal 2 both did better critically. So there goes your plausibility theory.
