Courier Service stole mobile

Hey Guys,

as most of us send out products through courier, most of them get in time and in one piece but has any one faced a problem or product not been delivered or broken something like that. if yes name the courier service and if you got your claim back or not.

I sent a brand new mobile from lahore to Karachi, it wasn't delivered and after 3 days of continuous inquiring i was told that it has been stolen and i need to give an application and then they will see to it. i hope i get it claimed. it was sent in special handling service, i got the special treatment all right .

so was just wondering if some one here experienced something like this. please share

Same Thing Happened with me.. like 6 or maybe 7 months back.. but it was With TCS... Sent a HTC Touch Diamond to Lahore... Paid Extra For S&H and Same day Delivery Along with Sunday Delivery charges.... after 3 days found out mobile phone was stolen from lahore office.. sent many applications... many threats to them but the end was tht they just sent me a letter stating nothing can be done now...

never encounter the stolen phone before with ocs. but it does stole my precious items that came directly from malaysia. thank god the primary item (2tb HDD) was left intact.

WTF?????? u had the receipts... shud hav taken to police or filed a case agianst them........ how could u forget an HTC diamond just like that... :-S

If you had the slip, you could have raised hell for them... how can you just accept it that they lost it? :S

well i got a call from them that to get my claim i need to write an application to some officer and attach reciepts as well, which i have done. i don't think its that easy for them to say "nothing can be done". when i was sending the package they made check list and made me sign that package contains this and that and special handling insurance blah blah.

It is sad to know that this happens with couriers even after special handling and insurance. Anyways hope you get to the bottom of this.

Don't send them the original reciept , send a photocopy or something cause it might get 'stolen' as well and you wont have any proof.

Attested photocopy would be better as they'll simply ignore a non-attested photocopy.

yeah bro dont leave them easily,
in the eye of law under contract of carriage act u fullfiled all the necessary requirements in order to be eligible for recieving compensations in case of shippers breach.

OCS is the worst courier service as far as my experience
i don't even use their services even as my last resort

Leopards have never disappointed me or any of my friends around PG
(i've shipped iphone4 via TCS and Leopards twice)
TCS is really expensive and sometimes laid back (and there charges differ from branch to branch for i dunno what reason)
