Cinestar Lahore Website Bug + Bad Behavior

So, I get an email from Cinestar that 2 tickets to X Men have been bought using my account. Bear in mind that my card is always with me and no other soul in the world knows my password.

I rush to the Cinema and get in touch with the management. They catch the culprits red-handed (I
dont know the guys, but they look shady as hell), and the management tells me that they will deal with them and investigate how they got access to my account. I get the money back in my account, change my password and go home.

A few weeks later, the same thing happens again but this time, I miss the movie by an hour. I call the cinema and they tell me,
its your fault, our website is okay. You're sharing your details with someone. We've checked everything.

This is not a polite conversation - the lady sitting there is almost fucking yelling. So I yell back until she simmers down and asks me to come see the management.
I visit the Cinema and after 30 minutes of useless conversations, I'm told that their software developer is sending a guy and I should come here at 3pm tomorrow.

Clearly, the people who made this site are geniuses at work, so on my way back, judging by the sorry-looking state of their website, I make a guess that their website is probably failing to maintain session control.

I come home and
login to my account on my laptop and my phone. I change the password to my account through my laptop and refresh my account through my phone.
My guess was right, I'm still logged in on my phone. No matter how many times I change my password, someone who's logged in will remain logged in until they log out voluntarily. Ta-da. "Software house."

So I call them again today, hoping to tell them that this is the issue with your web site, so please fix it. But as soon as I mention my name, the lady starts yelling again.
"Our website is okay. Your IP is the same. You're sharing your password with someone. Come take your money back."

She refuses to shut up, so I yell back and tell her I've found the problem in your goddamn site.

"There is no problem. We have checked. It's your fault."

I ask her to put me through to the IT manager. She tells me he's not here and starts yelling again. I'm losing my patience, but profanity is not a good counter to ignorance, so I breathe and try to keep calm. When she's done spewing ignorance, she tells me to talk to the IT manager.

As soon as he grabs the phone, the guy starts spewing the same gutter junk as the lady before him.

"Our website is okay. Your IP is the same. You're sharing your password with someone."

So in the only way they understand, I yell at him to shut up and listen to me. He tells me, 'no, you listen to me.'

I hang up.

This is the shit state of customer service I have been accustomed to across establishments in Lahore.

That is some really bullshit... take all your money out of your account there. My cousin also went through something like this as his money also disappeared from his account. I live in township A-1 sector, so it is pretty close to me, therefore i never made an account or anything like that.

Well I wasn't expecting this from Cinestar. I suggest you go meet both the manager and the IT guy and show them exactly what the problem is. That should shut them up for good.

yeah cinestars management sucks big time plus there is no one superior to look at them aswell ! i once asked to talked to their higher up their regarding my membership and there was no one there and they just made me go in a circle and gave me some bs email to contact which never replied back..

plus their is this new sh*t happening before we could cancel our tickets but nowadays cancelling is not taking place aswell.. when i go to cancel tickets it just shows me that there is no data found to cancel tickets. i had to call them up to cancel my tickets once...

I remember someone posting here about consumer court, here in Lahore. I think search for that here on PG, and give them a call. Take this action, it will help others in future.

    did you try setting up Google Payments? For UBL you may have to get it enabled for internet transactions, Naya should work without it!
