"CHECK YOUR PM" is that necessary?

i have been visiting the market place since i joined pg and there'z one post that is so common... "CHECK UR PM"
AND THE MOST COMMON REPLY "PM CHECKED AND REPLIED"

i mean yar when u actually send a pm to someone he does recieve it..and if he'z replyin it the other person is gettin the pm too..

this sure comes under spamming coz imo i dont think its really necessary..so this shud prohibited from now on..
rest is upto the mods.

this could have been justified if we were to be in an age of "kabootar ja ja ja kabootar ja ja ja chithi sajan ko day aa" but we are NOT.

The thread in the Movie MUzic section "What are u listening to" is itself a spam....!
One can spam there easily just pick up one album and then post all the songs one by one, just have to wait for 1 post and then ur turn again wait for 1 and ur turn comes again now thousands of albums are in your hand via internet & millions of songs names so if some one wanna increase the post count its the easiest way and there are more similar threads where spamming is very easy.....!
Anywayz mostly i am not regarded to MArket Section so the problem not related to me i just wanna say that this issue is not that big....!
BTW after reading this if any one think that i am spamming in the songs thread then i will say u can think but atleast i listen to the mentioned song at that time....!

Now that somebody brought it up . I specifically mentioned in that thread to solve this . For that I proposed a pattern to post . You can see it in the early posts . I used to follow that pattern myself but people didn't take any kind of interest in it . So , I left it out myself .

Actually it's not a big issue, there are few things which can only be done via a PM like price negotiations etc and replying of "PM replied" etc gives a sort of a track about what's going on..anyway of course excessive use of this is kind of spamming. Let me see, what can be done in this regards.

We cannot stop anything in regards of post counts. A member can be only be judged properly with the number of posts he replies or inserts.

Mostly in Market Section, A person just comes either to increase the post count or just to ask stupid silly questions ( Talking about the new people, just to increase a pinch up of the counts)

I can just suggest that when a thread is started, If the same person enters two or more questions. It will counted as one post. If that person goes to another thread within the same hour. It will be stated as one post. So total conclusion would be , any post made in 3 hours will be counted as One post.

It will relax the post counts, etc. Hope this sorts out the issue.

But I would add here smthing there should be a rule that only interested Ppl post queries there and all the other talks like | Good Price | Best of luck Selling | should be avoided in order to get the buyer and seller to interact with each other appropriately.

Well it is apparently clear in the rule/policies that something like " Hey nice card/ Hey nice picture, etc " is always linking into a warning firstly, then proceeds to ban,etc.

That is why after thinking on a solution. I thought if any post is made in the time period of 3 hours into any thread in the MARKET SECTION, It will be considered as ONE post.

( IF TIME OF 3 hours is satisfactory with others ).

Lets see what the ADMIN's have to say about this....

There is one benifit i thought of check your pm

other members know that deal is going on
it is helpful in that sense

i you are really into spam there are loads of other places to do it

a fool would target the market place section as it has strict rules

just a thought
