Air-powered motorcycle designed by Indian students

A group of Indian engineering students has invented a unique pollution free bike which runs on air pressure and does not emit carbon into the atmosphere.It takes air as fuel and emit air as exhaust.


Equipped with two compressed air cylinders, the 100cc bike currently runs at a speed of 18km per hour, but the students hope to make it faster. It's range probably is limited as well though. [via techamok].

Yeah I've seen that show it's called:'Planet Mechanics'

They made a bike like this and explained the concept maybe they just copied it.

its nothing new.
i am a Mechanical engineering student and i know how it works.
last year my seniors had a final year project of designing a car engine that works on compressed air.
A car engine that works on compressed air is already made before.
wat they did was just shrunk it down to bike level.

actually this aint energy saving.
here is the idea.
u need compressed air in the tanks.
u use a compressor to fill the tanks.
the compressor uses electricity to fill the tanks.

the extra required electricity requires more coal to be burned and so more CO2 emiisions from the power plant.
in other words there is no such co2 emission savings from this bike
