True Detective and Mathew Mcconaughey should have WON. Although I do love Breaking bad and Cranston too, really tough match so congrats to them.

And Aaron Paul winning best supporting actor instead of Peter Dinklage is easily the biggest snub of the show in my opinion.

ON the plus side, Congrats to Modern Family, Fargo, Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin freeman and Ty Burrel, all winning according to my wishes. :D

Worst thing though was NOT A SINGLE NOMINATION of Hannibal, which just had a brilliant second season. Screw you emmys.

Breaking Bad had a really strong final season. Plus, I'm pretty sure the Ozymandias episode had a major role to play in its win. True Detective, while great, felt a little disappointing towards the end of the season, imo. And it was more of a one season thing, so it's kind of unfair for it to be placed in the Drama category. HBO should've submitted it in the mini series category.

Yeah, its final season was amazing, the reason it was difficult for me to decide a side. But I found True Detective to be a bit better. Plus, Breaking Bad had been winning awards for a long time now, would have been better if they let someone else win it this time. :p

Ozymandias "The Fallen King" episode alone dwarfs many other tv shows. Bryan Cranston's Emmy award is fully deserved. I wasn't satisfied with BB's ending but as a whole, I agree it was a strong final season.

True Detective fell apart in the end. I'm not surprised it didn't win anything.

True. Although, it did get a well deserved win for director in a drama series for episode 4 ("Who goes there"). The entire scene where Cohle infiltrates the gang was shot in a single take, and done really well.

Please don't kill me or ban me over this. But I really didn't understand the whole Breaking Bad hype. I've seen the whole thing. Sure, it's an alright show, but I didn't see anything which would 'blow my mind' or break new ground. No idea how it's getting so many awards.

Agreed, It built up a great deal to what looked like something amazing but failed to deliver at the end. ANd No surprises here, I think we all expected Breaking Bad to dominate one last time.

I have to agree, especially this year. Aaron Paul didn't really have much of a role in the 2nd half of the season.

This was basically Jesse Pinkman in s5pt2:

Agreed. Aaron Paul had much showier work in previous seasons. There was just one Jesse centric episode in S5P2, the one in which there was confession...

No Emmy for GOT kind of reaffirms how overrated this show is. Really happy for BB and all its well deserved wins, although I would have been equally happy with True Detective winning. Also happy about Kathy Bates and Jessica Lange winning, they were amazing in American Horror Story. That actress winning for Mom was a total WTF moment however.

As for the show itself, it was the first time I've seen the Emmy's and boy was it a train wreck. I know sometimes jokes fall apart, but when even Ricky Jarvais fails to be funny, you know something is wrong.

^^ The only thing that got to me was the joke about Matt Mcoughneys oscar win and being on small screen lol.

And even tho I never watched it nor liked it, I think BB deserved a good send-off by winning all those awards
