Speaking of losing a lot of matches...... 0-22 against xfighter yesterday! Dude you've got mad game. I was just thinking I might be boring the crap out of you. Kicked my ass with Ryu and then switched to Blanka for the ultimate insult!

Awesome matches though; I need to work a lot harder to give you a little competition.

xfighter is very technical, play patiently against him, thats the only way..... oh and dont spam the throw tech option select (something i coudlnt get rid of, even till now) , he always has a meter left for srk FADC into ultra ... oh and try to do safe jump ins, one thing ive noticed in most of us is that we jump at random times without thinking and try to start a combo with tht poor jump.. i always ended up getting a shoryuken after that..... and amjad is very fond of doing the meaty attacks... try and block those..... i couldnt get these things down but im sure u can since u are a patient player...

I was wondering why I was getting hit so often while throw-teching. What is that? Is he delaying his attacks by a couple of seconds so that my grab animation starts and he just hits me out of it with a LP/LK? I don't know.

I gotta work on my blocking though, I think that is (one of) my greatest weakness(es).

Other than that, I think it's been a while since we last played; ever since then I have become totally rushdown! Everytime I start to turtle, I imagine C Viper shouting "You fucking turtle!" at me I've totally lost my patience. The couple of times I did play patiently I did get close to beating him the round but then I'd rush in with something stupid (like the badly timed jump-ins you talk about) and screw it up.

abbas's score is also 0 out of 100 ... he thinks he can only mange to win a round against daigo even more honest answer then me :angel3:

and iamtheone still believes he can eat whole daigo in one bite (pacman) but condition is LAG

i believe amjad is by far the best i have played in pindi, i played him last at fareeds house a couple of months back , apart from that i played him once at killing hawks house, i only managed to beat him 2 times out of the 12 or so games i played with him, although as he admits himself he has little knowledge of the ssf4 but he has been playing sf2 for 8 years so his basics are very strong like i was trying to jump in the middle of the link and he caught me and told me what i was doing wrong, so there is a lack of basic knowledge among us new players compared to the old school ones, not to mention the spacing, akuma has better footsies/zoning tools against ryu and i was having too much trouble against him back then, some of the later matches were really close but i lost almost all of them, as fareed has said dont abuse the throw tech OS against him, he uses the ryu bnb that has 2 frame traps in one block string so if you mash it you are fucked as he wont miss a link once you have been caught in the frame trap, i realized that the last time i met him, the combo is basically lp<mp<Lp<Fireball all in crouching, so you see there are 2 frame traps there. plus i suggest you play against him to improve your game as he dosent play like the rest of the scrub ryus, that shoryuken AA into ultra. i hope i soon find time to play against him really nice guy, just learn the basic matchup against ryu and play him , will be really fun

yup xfighter is good player i palyed with him when he came lahore and we met at amir bhai's place we played about 14 15 matches i won about 5 or 6 and he won about 8 or 9 (he won 1st then i won 3 then he beat crap out if me in next five then i won 1 then he won 2 then in won last one what i remembered that the difference is about 2 3 wins )i only played against his solid ryu but also heard that he has very solid bison too ... played with him once on xbl but as imatches includes me has hell of a lag now a days so i didnt count those as a contest but one thing is clear in your mind after playing first round with him that you will have hard time of ur life against him in every round

I think you don't get how a frame trap works. lol, a block string is a block string because there are no frame gaps between the attacks. When you perform a frame trap, you deliberately leave gaps of frames between your attacks so that the opponents move will have a chance to come out so that you can get a counter hit. Ryu's LP is +2 on block, and the next move, the MP, has a 4 frame start up, so obviously it's not a perfect block string as there is a (deliberate [hence, the frame trap]) 2 frame gap in between.

Yes, there are hardly any moves that start-up in 2 frames and the ones that do are extremely hard to perform in that sort of situation such as Chun Li's super. But blocking is not the only option you have; like I mentioned you can do a reversal such as a Shoryuken or EX Messiah Kick and they will beat the attack due to their start-up invincibility frames. And also like I said, you could do a back-dash because that gives you invincible frames as well.
