I am just wondering why doesn't anyone uses Zangief or T-Hawk? Is it because we think they are a little unfair or perhaps they are easy to play with? I would just like to hear everyone's opinion on this.

Man so much hatred towards Guile i wonder why well every character is unique in the game bro , they have their own peculiar play style and sadly guile irritates Alot of people here , Although jawads kicks my ass with his guile against my dudley but i love the challenge. Getting in guile is the most difficult thing to do specially if your playing with someone with no range.

The reason i wanted to learn guile is cos i have difficult playing against a good guile player , so i thought why not learn it first so i can have some more insight . The blanka games with you were awesome muaz hehehe i made u pick guile as well but sadly the lights went off cos a freaking truck driver splashed all the electricity cables.

cmon amir bhai be adventurous, take up rufus, or ibuki (loads of potential in her) or gen or rose or zangief (he's gonna be awesome in AE, so its a good investment).. try something different

Advice Taken , Started training with ibuki last night and a bit of Rufus too. Secondly i was wondering if you can give me some names of good ibuki players. I would want to see some matches before i hit off with her ( wink wink).

people said the same about countless characters......but the joy of beating another guy with a weak character cannot be explained by words...besides hardly anyone knows their matchup....no one even considered adon and when gamerbee beat a couple of guys the adon section on srk started getting hits..... btw adon is my next project too

ive finally decided to go with the square gate since no other guy besides me plays with an octa gate...as it was a pain to play on some other stick so i had no choice but to do it....... i almost forgot how annoying it was to do the hadoken motion, and the lack of stick movement space is really holding me back... but few days more of practice and i'll definitely get my execution right...

I know what you mean bro but keep at it and you will get your hand down at the square gate in no time.

What's with hate parade against Guile lately? i can understand that he has some advantages in ariel attack but if you know matchup he can be defeated pretty easily. I'm pretty sure after he gets nerfed down you guys still going to complain how dick he is lol. =p

@ Desolator: I'm pretty sure if there's some monster player of Zangief and T-Hawk the reaction will be same against them aswell like with Guile.

HAHA we should start a GRR ( Guile Rights Regime). Btw those guile games that day with you were awesome , I never new his standing medium punch is a anti air but not that reliable seconldy you can do a standing light kick as his anti air.

Everyone learns the same way bro, lots of things have changed since SF II , just get the hang of the basics...thats all you need to play a good fight. You'll get there...keep at it.

Jawad's Ryu is going on a whole new level...all you guys complaining about guile should step up your game...Guile has 2 special moves , sonic boom , flash kick and a stupid high punch...still your'r complaining...people playing blanka , E honda should STFU about Guile.

Now now, we all have to go through that phase where we get bodied. lol, but it's no reason to quit, man! Keep at it, practice the right stuff, learn your mechanics and match-ups, and you'll see yourself getting better with incredible pace!

To be honest, I'm such a huge Vangief fan that I've really wanted to pick up Zangief for quite some time now. The only trouble is, I think Zangief is one of those characters you really have to have experience to play well with, and since I don't have XBL yet, I don't see the point of me trying to learn him. I realize this point can be made for any character, but for Zangief I think it really has a lot more to do with experience than, say, my current main, Akuma, who can be brutal alone on the basis of his player having mastered his technical side.

ClakeyD and Momochi have beast Ibukis. VesperArcade has an awesome one as well but videos of his game-play aren't as easily available.

in my opinion guile isnt overpowered, he is just very very hard to play against online, offline is another story, u can knock down guile and do some cross up mixups and u can pretty much handle it. The only character overpowered i think is ryu, he has very good normals, specials and combos..he has almost every attacking and defending option.. i think giving him more recovery time on shoryuken and nerfing his standing High kick will balance him.

Agreed, Guile can be annoying to play against but he isn't overpowered... Like once you get in on him and get a knock-down, you've pretty much got him. And Ryu? I would say he's the most balanced character in the game in terms of damage, speed, and defense but I wouldn't call him broken because he doesn't exactly excel in any of those categories. Why would you say his S.HK is over-powered though? I would understand his Cr.MK because of it's range, hit-stun, and speed, but why the S.HK?

I think your reasons are wrong on both counts. Ryu is as simple as they come and people flock to him, so the ease of use is out. Rufus, Akuma, Abel and Honda do loads of damage and people play them, so the first reason is out too.

I think Gief is a good character (not great). The reason many don't play him is not because he's easy, but because he's tough. You've got to be really patient, and spend a lot of the match just blocking and looking for an opening. Also, because his 'vortex' requires some skill to pull off. His jab/short combos ending in green hand also require some practice. So most people who love rushdown just don't pick him. Even though both US/JP tier lists put him high up, only about half a dozen play him in tournies.

T. Hawk on the other hand, is just trash to put it simply. He's more mobile than gief but Gief outclasses him in every other category.

I would like to learn how to play with him. I've even picked him a couple of times. He's built like a tank, I love his command grabs. But yeah, his combos are tough to land. You need to be really really good to be able to rock a good Gief. But sure, I'm willing to give him a try.

He's a fortress; Sonic Boom bait into crouching HP all day long. Sonic Boom has amazing recovery. But yeah, no one is invincible.

I was thinking of picking Deejay up, just for shits and giggles. Plus I can picture him smoking some 'erb after every match listening to Bob Marley after every match; I like that.

Good games last night with Bad Mofo, Cerebral Tiger and Iamthe1. I have to say Iamthe1's Guile is a fucking monster, Cerebral has a very good Cammy he can totally surprise you sometime it's sad you didn't use the pokemaster ken =p and Bad mofo's Blanka always scare me and plays very well with Chun-li.

Dude what happened, :/ ur blanka aint what it used to be, even while playing i could pick out so many occasions where you just took a beating like a training dummy.You even missed so many easy grabs....I think all those nights on COD BO is costing you skill in SF ... but good games nonetheless. Just that I remember your blanka to be much much much better then how you played lasnight. Your Chunli has improved though...

^ totally! BO has been taking away most of the time. I'm not playing that often as it is. I've started to suck while your game blossomed while you were in the States, last night was a combination of those two things.

I keep missing tech throws; is there any timing involved or does mashing the crap out of LK+LP work? It used to, honestly, but I got thrown around like a rag doll last night by everyone, especially Cereby's Cammy.

I actually always wanted to suggest that you should put in some time in ssf4 but you learn by actual experiences isnt it. Sorry guys i tried joining you all last night but i just could not connect , tried everything from dns changes to restarts to forwarding ports, changing my ps3 ip arghhh..

umm Mofo actually mashing your way out of a tick may work at times but it is not that reliable. You need to press the lp+lk buttons in sequence with your opponents attacks , if he tried to grab you between a chain you will tech it and if he missed his chain you will hit him, its an option select . Takes time and practice but works out for me although i sometime forget to do that while in a match.

I started playing with ibuki last night and i love her TCS and Combos. She can totally surprise you at times , will be taking more of ibuki from now on . Good bye Dudley aka chai wala.

Behold the freaking Blankapheobia , Even though if iam playing with a noob blanka , i get totally confused and mofos blanka is a monster for sure. So will you guys be playing ssf4 tonight . it has been a long time since i played with iamthone and mofo.

Even my game isent what it used to be...Vanquish took over and destroyed it. The thing about street fighter is if you keep playing it you will improve...but if you pick up other games along the way you start to suck. When i Was in the states i was ussually playing SSF entirely. I landed with 11000 BP with Guile and 4000 PP . a month without SSF threw me back to 9700 BP and 3000 PP....thats how bad it effects your game.

Ive seen Iron Triggor and DarkAngel just play SSF ONLY ....and thats the reason they are pro...but oh well, I get bored if i play too much SSF.

Good games with jawad,fareed and Ct last night. I was impressed with CTs wakeup options , you dont do that more often plus some of your combo execution has improved drastically bro. Tried ibuki last night and i dont understand how can it be low tier, she has amazing Target Combos , and her crossups can be pretty lethal . you can mix ur game up with her since there are so many options ...im sticking to her now ...thank u fareed that adventurous advice is working out

dont mention it.... its community service if u look at it, one of us tries a new character, some of us play against that character and learn the matchup., so if an outside guy comes with an exotic main character we will be well prepared. Thats one plus point and if u just keep playing a handful of charcters the game pretty boring too, so it kinda sets an interesting challenge .... by trying new characters you are making the PG ssf4 scene better
