I completely disagree, you can absolutely gain muscle in three months. Ofcourse you cannot become a proper bodybuilder in 3-6 months, that takes years, but putting on 15-20 lbs of muscle in the first 3 months, is not that hard (I did it). The main reason in your diet that I can think of that contributed to you not gaining weight, is obviously the fact that you were not eating enough. I gained about 20 pounds in the first 3 months that I started working out, but along with the working out, I was taking protein powder every day, eating multiple eggs every day and drinking chocolate milk 3 times a day along with regular lunch and dinner.

You said it yourself, your body is getting in shape but not putting on much muscle which tells me you need more calories. You need a calorie surplus and plenty of proteins to build muscle, ideally 1 g for every lb of your body weight if not more.

So yeah keep working out hard, up your diet and there is no reason why you wouldn't see results.

P.S it is easiest to gain muscle and get big when you are starting out. After that it keeps getting more and more difficult to put on more muscle, which is why people resolve to steroids because they want to overcome their natural testosterone limitations.
You answered the reason behind gaining muscles in 3 months yourself. "Protein Powder". (Even if you don't, you still do gain muscles - which is only logical since you are working out - but they won't show - the point which I embedded in the 'framing aspect' of your body).

I am completely against using other 'manufactured' means of protein. So lets just stop right here (and its not open for debate with me). If someone wants to use them, its his choice. I would prefer 'slower gains' over it any day, with proper regular food.

If you are curious why I don't prefer manufactured material, then two reasons:
- No need to use them unless absolutely necessary, which they are not.
- These 'quicker gains' are the reason that when you leave bodybuilding, your muscles start to loosen up, and fall down like old people.


As for working hard, yea, sure. There will be a time in your life when you will consider that a possibility. And then there will be a time when you will be so busy, that you will barely get enough time for Exercise. If you are former, by all means, work hard. If you are latter, even if you take it slow you will still gain, and stay fit. And that's what matters.

This is to be my first post in this thread. Ive been doing Gym for atleast three years now( includes the many months i wasted in ramadan,exams and travelling, 2 years actually spent exercising ). I achieved my main goal tht was to lose 20kg of fat last summers. In the winters i gained 3kg muscle by doing some heavy lifting, but even though nowadays im doing more reps per set daily im still seeing no muscle definition or detail or cuts as u guys say it. I have one cheat day that is Friday( today ). I workout at 3pm( I dont mind the weather ). My friend tells me to lose more fat to reveal my muscles but i dont simply understand it im 5 feet 10 inches and my weight is 70.9kg as of yestrday, normal isnt it ?
I need my muscle to be defined or Cut thts my question how can i get this?
Your height to weight ratio is completely normal . In order to get abs , proper back muscles you will have to get body fat down to single digit 8-9% body fat

So weight does not matter such that muscles are heavier than fat , so will increase weight

Do cardio in your routine and compound exercises (dead lifts , squats, bench press, military press, barbell pull-ups )

I want to make a custom Multi bench with some strong metal( compared to what's available locally). I talked to a guy and showed him design he says he can make it if proper measurements are provided. Can any one provide me proper measurements and angles or any detailed guide.
Go to the shop, take the measurements, and give it to the guy. How hard is that?

Vacations are near so is the adrenaline, The problem is if start the gym in vacations, i fear i might not be able to keep up once they are over, so what would be my best bet here ? Currently i do alot of cycling, so cardio is all good for me, i just need some muscle power as i can barely do any chinups. What tools should i get at home which will keep my body in shape and little bit of muscles wont hurt ?

Currently i am thinking of getting pullup bar, weights i presume are really expensive but ill see if i can borrow them, for abs, i saw couple of videos on youtube and mostly pointed towards doing crunches with or without weights.

To make it more easy, im not fat nor to slim, just perfect you can say. Really flexible as i play alot of sports mainly squash, volleyball type. My main issue is arm strength, i really wanna make them strong and little bit bulkier.

Would be nice to take some opinion from people who are actually builders.

you can get a punching bag , a stationary cycle , jumping rope etc which are cheap and you can keep them aside when you are done

I am doing these exercises and cycling aswell but still not much progress.

Try black coffee in morning
And green tea 2-3 cups daily (can be with meals)
Antixodants( cucumber ,lemon, ginger ,mint =mix and throw rhem in water overnight drink it )

Thanks alot bro i used to drink green tea alot but i stopped cuz i hav acne and its really annoying, but ill start drinking from today

what exercises are to be done ?
Without weights, basic that still target most of the leg are
Squats, calf raise, lunge.
Do focus on lunge position and don't do it a lot cause it hurts like hell the next day.
Also leg stretch is very important before and after the exercise.
